We had a fantastic 2 night stay with our children in a family room which was huge and immaculate, with two separate rooms and spacious bath. Best of all was the beautiful view over the loch. You take a ferry ($10 each way) to get to the Inn which runs every 30 minutes and is very convenient and fun. The setting of the Inn is breathtaking, on the loch, among the mountains. Excellent base for explaoirng the surrounding area of Fort William (10-15 minutes away) and Glen Coe (15-20 minutes). The Inn is extremely child friendly. The restaurant service is top notch, excellent hot (or cold) breakfast, very basic but deliciously cooked dinner, with all fresh ingredients. The Alexander family, who runs the Inn, provides 3 generations of Scottish warmth and hospitality. someone is there to help you at every turn with whatever you might need. Free Wi Fi was great for keeping in touch. My children (ages 5 and 7) had a great time throwing rocks and building sand castles on the beach out front, playing chess in the comfortable lounge, and having a delicious bath in the spacious tub. This is not just another hotel. It is a very special place. We hope to return.
