There's service that you just can't buy. I recently stayed at this B&B and everything was superb. The rooms themselves were very comfortable. Paul & Aileen were great hosts - breakfast most enjoyable & nothing was any problem. good location only 5 minutes away from town centre and all this for a great price. Definately great value for money.

Room Tip: All rooms exellently presented - remember it's Paul & Aileen's house too you'le be m...

Hi Bizzie, thank you for your lovely comments. Paul and I are pleased that you enjoyed your stay here and we fulfilled your needs. We were particularly pleased that you trusted us with Bailey, he was a darling and no problem at all.

My husband Andy and I stayed for 5 nights in March at short notice. We were made very welcome and Aileen and Paul did everything in their power to make our stay comfortable. They did a great job. It was very clean, good location, great breakfast, especially the eggs benedict. The view from our room was also breathtaking. Highly recommended, well done.

Hi Martina & Andy, firstly let me thank you for your kind words about your stay with us here in Braeside House. Secondly a big big thank yo for our rock, my favourite as well. We are just so upset we missed Andy when he came by. I hope his trip went well with his friends. The little wooden sheep he found was really cute, as it has no owner I have adopted it. We look forward to seeing you both again in the future.

Tom, Myself, my sister Bizzy & her dog Ballie and friend Dawn stayed for 1 night on our last leg of the West Highland Way.
After arriving a bit bedraggled and receiving a warm welcome, we could not have been made more welcome by Paul and Aileen. You could not meet a more genuine couple and we knew we would have a great last night in Fort William. A real home from home, spacious rooms , comfortable, with a wecoming sitting room and a view from the conservatory that would make you want to stay longer. After a week of cooked breakfasts, Paul's pancakes were a lovely change for breakfast. Aileen finished off our stay with a very welcome lift to the train station to catch our train home. 10 out of 10 Aileen & Paul and we can't wait to return!!!

Hi Angela & Tom, what can I say that hasn't already been said to you guys. You were a real pleasure to have in our B&B. All of you were such fun and so full of excitement after having just walked the West Highland Way, it was infectious. It would be great to see you all back here again. Thank you for your lovely comments, we are so pleased that you had a nice time here in our humble home.

We stayed for 2 nights at Braeside House just after Easter- 9-10 April. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Aileen and Paul. As other people have said on here, we have never felt so welcome as we did at Braeside House. On the day we did our walk up Ben Nevis, Aileen made us two flasks of hot coffee to take on the walk with us, along with a two huge pieces of delicious cake! In all our travels around the world, we have never had a "sending off" on a day's trip like that before!

Altogether, it is the perfect place to stay: wonderful hosts, wth great local knowledge of good walks in the area; spotlessly clean bedrooms/ bathrooms; amazing breakfasts; and a great location- just a 5 minute walk to the town centre.

Thanks so much to you both. We hope to come up and stay with you soon- with a bit of luck it will be before the end of this year.

Have just come back from Fortwilliam after walking the West Highland Way with friends. We stayed one night with Paul and Aileen and i can honestly say that ive never stayed anywhere so welcoming.
They were so helpful and friendly and totally genuine, you can tell straight away that they want you to enjoy your stay with them, it really is like a home from home. Rooms are comfy and have everything that you could possibly ask for. Breakfast was beautiful, but it was all the other added `extras` that made it special and unique. A couple of examples of this: a lift to the train station, directions of how to get everywhere, instructions for TV. Also the view from the conservatory is amazing, these are things that money cant buy.
I would rate this B&B as 10 out of 10 on every level, and after listening to their plans for the place for the future it will be the top place to stay in Fortwilliam!!

Hi Dawn, what can I say. It is smashing people like you who make our jobs so very enjoyable. Thank you for your comments and thank you for your company. As I opened the door, I just remember the smiles and laughter and the shear sense of relievement you all had at the satisfaction of you having just completed the West Highland Way. I have got to say that you all still looked invigorated (with the exception of Baillie) considering your tiredness of having just completed the walk, and went on to display your energy at the Karaoke and into the night. I shall certainly not forget any of you guys, you were all full of fun and enjoyed your holiday. We look forward to seeing you all again, when you come up to climb Ben Nevis or walk the Great Glen???

Stayed here for 2 nights with my boyfriend in Febuary with the intention of going snowboarding but with the bad weather that wasn't possible. Fortunately Paul and Aileen are very knowledgable about the local area and leant us walking books, boots and maps to keep us busy. The house is a five minute walk up the hill from the town centre which is great as you get much nicer views as you would somewhere lower down. We were in Room 1 which overlooks the town and loch, it was very spacious with all the facilities we needed. Breakfast was great - every option you could think of! Would definitely stay again the next time we're in Fort William - hopefully it will snow!!

Hi Guys, thanks for you lovely comments.
I really did feel for you guys coming up for the snow and getting none. Especially since then there has been opportunities for snow boarding and ski-ing since. Still there is always next year!!! See you then.

We stayed at Braeside for two nights and were really impressed with the our attentive hosts and their home. Paul and Aileen couldn't do enough for us. They are a lovely friendly couple, who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and ensure we had a pleasant stay. We stayed in room 2, which is comfortable, warm and clean, and has a breathtaking view. The b&b is in a great location, up from the main road so nice and quiet and only a 5 minute walk to the high street. They are very knowledgeable about the area and ready with recommendations for walks and places to visit, eat and drink. We walked up Ben Nevis and were packed off with fresh coffee and welcome advice. There is a great choice for breakfast and they even accommodated my gluten free requirement with a number of options, which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend a stay here for excellent hosts, comfortable surroundings and great value. We look forward to staying again with them again in the future.

Hi guys, Thanks for your lovely comments. It is always nice to know that our guests enjoyed their stay. It was no problem meeting your dietary requirements, just knowing that we can offer alternatives and ensure your stay is as enjoyable as possible makes us happy. When we go on holiday we go to enjoy ourselves, so we like to ensure our guests get the same experience that we would wish to receive.
Providing a flask of coffee was no problem, next time we will ensure there is a wee dram in it. lol.
Hopefully see you again soon.
