We were late in after a frantic train ride from Edinburgh then a cruise on Loch Ness and exploration of Urquhart's Castle, wow what a day, but so nice to be met by Neil who could not do enough for us. We explained about our early start and he offered to leave some breakfast ready for us before we headed off about 6:00AM. Not only did he leave a great spread we had fruit and snacks for the day, great touch.
The room was very spacious and comfy with ample storage space, and a very comfortable bed. The shower was a bit tricky, but once used to it worked fine. Our first full Scottish breakfast, comprising bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomato, potato scone, sausage and black pudding, wow first time for black pudding but the way it was cooked was delicious. Followed by beautifully fresh brewed coffee and great brown toast. To start, there was plenty of choice of cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurts, with fresh apples at the ready to take. Just a wonderful start when traveling, although maybe a little too much, so we did scale down the next morning!
We stayed for 3 nights and would highly recommend Bluebells to anyone needing accommodation, was great to meet Margaret on our last morning..
