“Premier Inn standard in good location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

The standard of the rooms is totally predictable. Must say the mattress had seen better days in my room. It was a 10-15 minute stroll to Inverness centre which is ideal to go to the local sights, restaurants, pubs etc.
We did not use the restaurant at the Premier Inn but had the breakfast - which was expensive for a cooked breakfast. The bar is pretty "sterile" with no atmosphere - also with no draught beers
The staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful. Even ringing me on my mobile when I left my laptop in my room! All safe and sound. Thank You
Because of predictability we would happily stay here again

Room Tip: Some rooms are near the road so it could be noisy if the window is opened. Remember that there is he...

Standard Premier Inn quality, location was just as described on the website - so not as central as the other PRemier Inns but city centre was only a 5pound cab ride. Clean comfortable rooms made for a good stay. Had dinner in the restaurant one night and had a good experience. Teh Salmon was actually really well prepared and generous portions. Breakfast was included in our rate and was made to order hot items - all you could eat - perhaps the best brekfast of the teh trip to Scotland! Staff were friendly.

Though not quite as handy, nor as scenic, as the Riverfront Premier Inn (which we would have booked had it not been full) it is of the same overall standard (with slightly better disabled facilities as there is a double bed in the room) with friendly and helpful staff and with a much larger restaurant.
Saturday's room cost £90 - which reflects the fact that we were late to book and the demand for rooms in the centre of Inverness on 'summer' weekends.

Stayed just one night. We thought that a bit more effort could be made to cheer up the site. Its a bit off putting when you arrive. Lovely stream with small garden area needed attention, rubbish clearing and maybe some better planting in the flower area next to the road. The tubs outside the hotel needed more than 4 petunias in each.
Once inside things were very good. Our room was excellent with a large screened TV. All in all just what we expect from Premier Inns. Traffic noise excluded once the window was closed.
The location is close to the town centre. Its also close to the main routes out of Inverness to the east. Fort George was just a few minutes away as was the quite fantastic beach area around Kinloss. To the west we really enjoyed Beauly. Thursday evening marching pipe band practice was an exceptional time. Get there for 8 and eat at the Corner of the Square. The fish and Chip shop is also excellent.
Special thanks are due to Linda and the breakfast team at Premier Inn. The service was exceptional. Friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We felt welcomed.

Up for a weekend break in Scotland and chose this Premier Inn as a good location to be based for the weekend. Always find Premier Inn hotels to be of a very good, and similar standard and was not dissapointed here. Easy to find, plenty of parking, and close enough to the centre of Inverness....but not slap bang in the middle so relatively quiet.
Went for the Premier Breakfast and was a bit dissapointed to find no Scottish food......no square sausage, no potato scones etc etc......but I suppose that's what you get with a chain hotel, but what we had for breakfast was tasty and well cooked.
We made the mistake of eating in the restaurant on the first evening. We didn't book a table, so had to wait for 10 minutes in the bar, after a while I noticed that people were coming in without bookings and going straight to a table, they had forgotten about us. Eventually got a table, and ordered food off the menu. Very long wait for food, could hear people who had been waiting even longer than us complaining. Eventually the food turned up......dry, overcooked, unappetising. We had ordered garlic bread and this never arrived, even though they tried to charge us for it.
Hotel is fine.......definitely wouldn't eat in the restaurant in the evening.

We stayed at Millburn Road from 2nd June 2013 for five nights in the disabled room we had requested. The staff were lovely, very pleasant and helpful. We stayed here previously in 2011 in the same room the noise then from the traffic and trains was quite unbearable but since then the rooms have been refurbished and acoustic glazing has solved the problem. However, storage in this disabled room was very poor. The restaurant is ready for refurbishment, the food we felt was average, but the bar staff and restaurant staff were extremely pleasant and service was very good. One evening we went to the beefeater restaurant at the Premier Inn, Caledonian canal, this was a lovely large restaurant, service excellent and food very good. We went on the famous Inverness to the Kyle of Lochalsh train journey - a fantastic trip.

We stayed here two nights as we were in Inverness for a wedding. This hotel was completely adequate for our needs - friendly staff, clean, quiet, and good free parking. It was also about half a mile from the supermarket and shopping centre so a very good location. We hadn't pre-booked breakfast as we were unsure of what our breakfast plans would be, but we ended up eating in the restaurant both mornings, and also had coffee and dessert one evening - no complaints with anything in the restaurant. Our only problem was that we were in a room to the back of the hotel which faced straight onto a high embankment, this left the room very gloomy and even in the middle of the day all the lights needed to be turned on. We weren't in the room a lot, and I know this isn't something that can be easily fixed, but it could have been quite depressing after a while. This was our only gripe, and on hindsight we should have asked to be moved, but felt for all the time we'd be spending in the room it wouldn't be worth it. On the whole I would be happy to recommend this hotel and stay here again (but in a different room!).

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing towards the road, due to the lack of natural daylight at the back of the hotel...
