“lovely hotel lovely location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2010

I stayed here for 2 nights with my wife and 2 children(7 & 9)We found the family room very spacious and just what we were looking for,the rates were very reasonable and the food well priced and of a high standard. All the staff and management were very helpful but a special mention must go to Rikki who made us feel at home.We travelled to the hotel by car,but because of the hotel location you can walk to the city center which was very handy.Would i stay here again,i will be,this hotel took the hassle out of a weekend break and i will definitely stay there again.

We hadn't booked anywhere in advance so took a punt on the Beaufort Hotel which is only a 5 minute walk into the city centre. We paid £99 instead of the advertised tariff of £155. The reception area is smart, clean and the staff are polite and friendly.
Our room was located on the upper floor at the back of the hotel. Positive points; it was spacious, modern, clean, lovely and warm. In the bathroom we had a good shower, nice smelling dispensing shower gel and liquid soap. Negatives; no extraction in the bathroom, doors slamming, but the worst crime was that the mattress on the bed was lumpy and very uncomfortable, and the pillows were so thin we ended up stacking all four into a tower to try and get comfortable.
Breakfast was rather uneventful; cereals, juices and a cooked breakfast - I am not much of a meat eater and there wasn't much choice but the staff were happy to include mushrooms with my poached egg and toast.
For the price, you get what you pay for. Would we return? Not unless they upgrade the mattresses and pillows.

I stayed here with friends for a weekend. The website describes it as luxury in Inverness! well it isn't! The ground floor, resturant, bar etc looks really nice but the rooms are very basic and disappointing. Shabby and tired. Lumpy beds Our bathroom was so small there was nowhere to put any tioletries, the one shelf sloped so everthing fell off as did the toilet roll holder. 4 coathangers for 2 people just on a pole on the wall. Very noisy hardly got any sleep as you can hear everything in surrounding rooms. The food waa passable, most of the staff were really nice. but i definately wouldn't recommed this hotel

we arrived late into inverness without a booking and stumbled across across the beaufort hotel. located near inverness castle this hotel was a pleasant surprise. generous sized rooms that were impressively clean with wifi! for ₤90 we found this hotel to be great value. the hotel is located close to the castle tavern which has a great sun terrace for an evening drink

We stayed at this hotel for one night in June 2010. Our room was at the front of the hotel with views over the city. It was spacious and clean but in desperate need of an upgrade. The reception area and stairwells were dark and gloomy and not inviting.
We decided to eat dinner at the hotel and were told we could not eat in the restaurant as it was reserved for two coach tours. The same thing happened in the morning - we were told we had to eat breakfast in the bar as the restaurant was again occupied by the coach tours. It made us feel like second class citizens, particularly as they still charged us expensive restaurant prices for the privilege of eating very ordinary food in the bar.
I'm sure there are other places to stay in Inverness which offer better value for money and don't have hordes of coach tours getting preferential treatment.
One plus - the young staff were very friendly and enthusiastic - the only good point about the whole establishment

My boyfriend and I decided to go to Inverness for a couple of days, I found the Beaufort Hotel and thought it looked lovely...we weren't disappointed!! On the first night we stayed we were in one of the standard rooms which was lovely the bedroom furniture was gorgeous and the bathroom was spotless, that night my boyfriend proposed to me and I have to give a huge special thanks to ricky who was absolutely brilliant and managed to get us an upgrade..I find it hard to describe how amazing our room was, the whole decor was beautiful and we had a huge jacuzzi in a bay window with little tiny lights set into the ceiling it was just incredible!!! The hotel staff were so nice and although we didnt eat in the restaurant at night the breakfasts were superb and the waitress in the mornings was so friendly and sweet!! All of the staff were extremely helpful and really friendly, we really felt at ease from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. I would HIGHLY recommend the Beaufort to anyone visiting Inverness and would like to thank everyone at the hotel for making our stay so special!!

I booked this hotel through Late Rooms and stayed here for 2 nights between Xmas and New Year in freezing cold weather. The hotel was beautifully warm, our bedroom had great heating which we actually had to turn down.

The ground floor has obviously had a recent refurbishment and is very tasteful - there's a lovely bar with a log fire where you can have a drink or a bar meal. We ate here the first night and the food was very good.

I had requested a quiet room so we were at the back of the hotel which meant we had no view, but it was peaceful and we slept well. The decor of the room was a bit dated, but overall it was comfortable and warm.

Breakfast was excellent and the service couldn't be faulted.

We were very impressed with all the staff who dealt with us. They were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.

The location of the hotel is very good, 5 - 10 minutes walking distance to the town centre.

Will definitely stay here again.
