Family run hotel, rooms are clean and well thought out, we found the staff friendly, helpful and efficient and felt i had to leave a comment due to the negative comments left previously!

The hotel is dirty, staff not trained properly and dont care about guests, the food is horrendous (we found things in our meal which shouldn't even be near a kitchen but belong on a wildlife show!). When we complained we were fobbed off and even offered another meal!
I would not even recommend this place to my worst enemy. It may be near to the town but there are nicer (and cheaper) places to stay right in the centre. In fact, anywhere is probably nicer than here! I am only surprised it has not been closed down by Health and Safety well before now.

We were outsourced from the Thistle Hotel, Inverness, we found the hotel to be shabby to say the least, cracked tiles in Reception, stair carpet tatty. We were put into Room 16, it looked like staff quarters, dirty light switches, the room hadn't been dusted, the duvet and pillows dirty, shower room dirty, glasses in shower room dirty. all in all a rather unpleasant stay. We informed the duty manager - he said he would check into it and get back to us but he didn't.

Can't fault this place. It's not a grand, five-star place but it does what it does very well. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were nice - not that big, but clean and comfortable. There was a nice cosy bar. We didn't dine there, but saw some of the food in its way from the kitchen to the dining room and it looked extremely good. Breakfast was very nice indeed - freshly cooked, which makes a nice change from most hotels.

It's about 10 minutes walk from the hotel to the city centre, and the one-way system makes it a little difficult to find. There is a small car park.
