“Brilliant stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

Stayed here for three nights in the Ness Room very pleased The room was big and very clean. Staff were very pleasant and could not do enough for us will definitely be staying again. Only little blip was the carpet in the corridor outside our room was a little bit worn and could give the wrong impression but on opening the bedroom door we were very pleased with the room

I booked this last minute and the rooms were discounted so it was fantastic value for money. Upon arrival I was informed I'd been upgraded from a single room to a double. The room was large and the bathroom had a jacuzzi bath. If I'd arrived earlier in the evening then I would have tried it out for sure.

The staff are friendly and helpful and there's a really nice ambience about this hotel. I felt comfortable going into the bar area on my own and ordering food. The only downside and the reason I gave a 4 star rating rather than a 5 is the price of the food. If I hadn't arrived so late I would have headed into the town for something cheaper. I ended up having to order the cheapest meal on the menu. The food exuded flavour (mushroom risotto) but the rice was undercooked and a little hard. A shame really as it would have been great otherwise.

I would stay here again and I recommend the hotel to others but I would definitely eat out next time.

booked at the last minute.have stayed in other hotels and b and b's in inverness over the years, we love inverness. found the location great, staff friendly and helpful, breakfasts lovely, great quality produce, and rooms clean and cosy.lovely ambience in the lounge, this place has been tastefully decorated.Yes i agree with previous reviews, the drinks are not cheap, but if you want cheap drink there are pubs in town! Having said that- it's only a short walk into town, takes you past the tapas bar, highly recommend you give this place a try as well. Food is wonderful and there is a huge selection of wine.We have already decided we will come back to the beaufort next time we visit, so i think that says we liked it!!

A beautiful hotel, very homely, just a home from home... The whole experience was wonderful, the staff are extremely helpful, they all clearly enjoy being part of this lovely hotel and it shows through their kindness and enthusiasm to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Probably the best team of staff I have ever encountered on my travels. Thankyou and well done. -_-

Room Tip: Highly reccomend

Second visit to this hotel
Warm welcome, effortless check in, and allocated a top floor room. Offered help with luggage (one sports bag) but declined.
There is a bit of a maze of stairs and corridors at the upper levels, but found the room with little problem.
Everything within the public areas and corridors very clean, stair carpets worn on the points of the treads.
Room quite small, but well appointed and clean, bed comfortable.
Tea making equipment provided, but no biscuits on offer.
Shower room generally very clean apart from some black streaks in the corner of the shower enclosure - 5 minutes with a scrubbing brush would fix it. I would have given a 5 for cleanliness otherwise.
Excellent selection at breakfast, cooked, kippers, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals etc.

Room Tip: Get the top floor if you can.
