I stayed in this hotel on 10th Feb for a treat for my partner. This hotel is lovely, we stayed in room number 10 which comes with its own private hot tub on an enclosed terrace. The room was great, very large, flat screen TV, hugh king size bed, lovely bathroom with a big bath and shower. I cannot fault this hotel in anyway.
We did not eat in the resturant so cannot comment on the food. although we did have breakfast and that was nice but a full cooked breakfast is not included in the price you have to pay extra for that - I thought for the price this should be included.

We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this place to anyone - it is the best hotel i have ever stayed in.

Having travelled up from Edinburgh after work to meet some friends at the hotel for Saturday evening, and after a long journey in the dark I was pleasantly greeted by the staff and welcomed in to the warm and relaxing bar to join my friends for cocktails!

Within minutes the hustle and bustle of the day had been left behind as I relaxed in the fabulous bar. Having booked dinner in the restaurant for 9pm, I had time to savour the room ........ what can I say, it was just amazing, from the huge bed (very difficult to drag yourself out of in the morning!) and the luxurious finishes to the decor and that's before I begin to mention the bathroom! The shower you could stand under forever, the huge bath and of course the Molton Brown toiletries (as everyone has mentioned). You cannot fault anything!!!!! Dinner was amazing, the selection of food was so varied, it was difficult to choose as it all sounded so good, but being a seafood lover, I was spoiled for choice! Definately one of the best meals I have had and I would recommend anyone who is staying in the hotel, to book for dinner!

Overall, the atmosphere is of a very stylish, friendly hotel with extremely helpful staff , amazing rooms and exceptional food, I would highly recommend this hotel (and I usually do!) I hope to make a return visit soon!

This was my 2nd visit to Rocpool Reserve. This time I travelled up on the new flights from Liverpool to Inverness with a few friends. We arrived at the hotel just after 7pm in time for cocktails in the bar before we went to our room. The room was fabulous, very tastefully decorated with all you could ever need. The bathroom was gorgeous, shower excellent and all full of little molton brown 'takeaways'!
We had booked a table for 9pm at the restaurant, and the experience matched any first class restuarant I have ever eaten in - truly worthy of its 5 stars. The service was 1st class, and the food was amazing!
The breakfast next morning was also fab, anything from simple continental to full scottish breakfast. After checking out we went for a lovely stroll around Inverness, and made our way back to the airport for our flight home. We had a great weekend - something different, we will definitely be back.

What a fantastic hotel! Stunning room with modern and stylish decor. The attention to detail is of the highest level- particularly in the extra touches and outstanding service. I loved the bar and restaurant.
This is by far one of THE best hotels I have ever stayed in- I would reccomend this to anyone looking for a special and enjoyable getaway and will definitely be returning in the coming year!.

Great place. Excellent service in the bar. Let down a little by some amateur service in the restaurant. In fairness this could have been due to the Christmas period and the use of temporary staff.
The dinner was good but definitely not five star. Some of the dishes appeared to have been prepared in advance. Continental breakfast was included in the room rate but a cooked breakfast was extra. A bit much given the cost of the room. The rooms were sleek and modern with a very very comfortable bed.

Management Response
Rocpool-Inverness, manager
(Management representative)
Dec 21, 2006
In response to this review we take on board the comments mentioned but feel that the scoring does not represent the hotel or facilities - ie who the hotel is suitable for - we do not allow pets - so this is completely wrong . In most other reviews the hotel is recommended to be more suited to younger couples not pet owners and solo travellers.
