I visited the pool on Sunday and was shocked at the state the pool and changing area was in. Four of us visited, 3 adults and one 9 month old child. Entry was £5 each for the adults, which at the time of paying, I didn't grudge...
My friends and their son got changed in the family changing area and I was in the normal area. The normal area was filthy! Floors were soaking, yes it is a swimming pool and you would expect the floors to be a little bit wet but not as bad as they were! There was only one member of staff attempting to tidy up that I could see, but clearly wasn't enough. There was rubbish in some of the cubicles, one even had a dirty nappy, I eventually found one that seemed clean enough but then I got the distinct smell of urine. Once changed I went to meet my friends at the family cubicles, they were just as bad. The nappy bin was full - overflowing! Again there was a smell of urine in the area.
Once in the pool, the kids area seemed ok, however was quite busy so we moved into the main pool area. We went into the River Rapids section, there was a fungus type thing on some of the tiles and the foam ring floats were COVERED in mould, not what you want to see when you have a young child with you!! This really left me wondering what condition the water was in.
We only had about an hour in the pool, which for £5 we all felt wasn't long enough. The toilets in the changing area were also disgusting, smelt like a really bad public toilet, there was toilet roll on the floors in the cubicles and just generally had a really unclean look and feel about it.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend going to this pool as its just not up to scratch. It needs major attention in the cleanliness department.
