We arrived in Inverness late afternoon. We looked on Trip Advisor on the nearest hotels/b & b's to where we where. We were down by the river and there were a few hotels across the bridge. We tried a few along Ness Walk, but unfortunately were full. We came across one which had vacancies. We rang the bell and a lady answered, we asked if there were any vacancies and she answered in quite a curt manner, yes. She showed us to room 4 which was at the top of the house. We noticed an unusual smell, but could put our finger on, was it cooking, or was it smoke, or damp. The room was very nice and compact, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very small. There was also wi-fi. There was a nice view from the out the window of the river and the church opposite. There was plenty of car parking spaces around. The area was very very nice.
We had to tell the owner the night before of what we wanted for breakfast. Which was odd.
We had a very pleasant walk in the evening looking for a restuarant. We had already seen a view earlier in the day while we were searching for a bed. It was either a toss up between Zizi or Bella Italia. We choose Zizi. We made a very good choice as the meal was excellent.
We had a good nights sleep. We went down for breakfast, our room number was also our table number. We had a very nice cooked breakfast, toast, bacon, sausage, egg and beans. You would also have fruits and yoghurts and cereals.
The price of our stay was |£39.00 per person. When we came to pay, we wanted to pay for it by card, but there was a charge to use it of £5. So we paid by cash.
Don't know if we would stay here again. There was a Best Western or The Columba around the corner which looked far nicer.
Room 4 had a great view
