“Lovely B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2013

If I ever return to Inverness, and I very much hope that I will, I won't even bother to look for other accomodations. We both loved Invernevis. The only very slight downside is that it is perhaps a bit of a long walk to the city centre. That's it. I hope we'll be back.

The guest house is situated close to the town center of Inverness, something we valued. The house and rooms itself was spotless and luxuriously comfortable. Shella is a fantastic host and makes you feel very welcome. Breakfast was delicious and the variety commendable.

Room Tip: Ask for the double room on first floor facing the town.

Stunning B&B, should be at least a 4* rating. Beautiful building, exceptionally well styled throughout and the rooms are excellently appointed. The bed was so amazingly comfortable it truly was a struggle to get up, but the breakfast was worth fighting the duvet off for. Shella is a wonderfully warm, friendly, fun woman - along with her fabulous, four-legged friend, Cullin. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Please go stay and experience its true wonderfulness yourself :-)

I stayed here twice whilst on my way to and from visiting friends in Fort William. What can I say the landlady Shella was very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were reasonably sized and furnished very well, plus very clean. Breakfast was hearty and the wicker Harley Davidson in the room was very much a focal point admired by all. Easy to locate and no more than 20 mins walk from the train station which was ideal.

The bedroom was large and very comfortable. The bed was about the size of a Queen.
Breakfast was very good and plentiful. The owner, Shella, was amazing. Very helpful, chatty and great fun. The décor of the entire house is wonderful and very tasteful. I was blown away by the full sized Harley soft tail in the dining room - made entirely from basket weave - and far too big to pack into my suitcase. Would recommend this B & B to everyone and we will certainly be back there the next time we are visiting Scotland.

On a street chock-a-block with B&Bs, this has to be the best B&B in Inverness if not Scotland. The house is early 1800's, but the owner has done a great job in turning it into a first class B&B. Everyone inside is new, clean, and works . . . yet the period architecture is still in place.

Breakfast is wonderful. It tastes great, and you will never go away from the breakfast table hungry. The selection of fruit at breakfast is better in variety than any other B&B we experienced in Scotland. The quality was also very high. You cannot go wrong here.

Now here is the special treat: The hostess is a bike rider. Yes, she has a Harley, and it is a beaut! Be nice, and she will show it to you. No, she is not a Hell's Angel honey. She is a very nice and lovely person, who likes to ride motorcycles. Her B&B is biker friendly on purpose. If you intend to hike the Caldonian canal, this is a good starting point.

We would gladly stay here again . . . and again . . . and again.

We had a lovely couple of days staying here, so relaxing. Shella is the perfect host (and great fun), the breakfast was delicious and the room was immaculate. We ate well and slept well and felt very much 'at home'. We will be back when we are next down in Inverness and would recommend this B&B to anyone.

Room Tip: Telephone ahead to see if you can bag the bigger double room :)
