Stayed here on business in late October - just for one night. First impression is that you are quite a long way out of the City, but in fact it is only a 10/15 minute walk across the Ness to the centre. Situated in a quiet residential/B&B street it is very quiet and comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent. Took up Bill's recommendation to eat at the Mustard Seed, and did not regret doing so. Bill will give you a token for a glass of wine or soft drink at this resturant. Business will be taking me to Inverness quite frequently from now on and I see no reason to stay elsewhere.

We stayed four nights at Balifeary House, and it was wonderful. The food was especially good. We also enjoyed the small selection of DVD's that we could watch in our room. Bill and Morag were very hospitable, and very helpful. The location is good, just a short walk from the city centre. The room was most comfortable, and had a nice refreshments tray with an electric kettle and a selection of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, along with some biscuits. It was a cozy retreat from the rather damp outdoors, and we looked forward to coming back each evening.

We´ve stayed at Ballifeary in August 2006.
We were around Scotland for 11 days and stayed in 7 BB all around the country and there´s no point, Ballifeary was the best for all its qualities.

Morag was very kind. After the check in she gives everyone a map of the area and she is very helpfull for all you want to ask.

The room was amazingly clean, lumious, clear, spacious and confortable. I´ve never seen an hotel bathroom so clean in my life and full with any kind of details.

And what can i say about the breakfast? The menu was very complete. You can ask for a full scottish breakfast (if you are hungry enough) or eggs as you want, salmon, incredible breakfast apricots, fresh fruit, any kind of cereals, toast... every thing is fresh and served with love by the kind Morag.

The owners love their work and their house and you can feel it in every detail.

We stayed at the Ballifeary House in July and it was delightful. Bill and Morag were so kind and helpful. the rooms were clean and well appointed and the breakfasts were delicious! Bill was extremely helpful as a tour guide for resturants and sightseeing! He helped the men locate their golf course and he recommended sightseeing for the women. It was convenient to downtown and we enjoyed our walk along the river. Even with the Highland Games being played we didn't feel like it was crowded or busy. It was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but not too far that it wasn't a "five minute walk"! A "must" for anyone visiting Inverness.

We visited Ballifeary House in July, 2006, in a group of eight. The welcome given us by Bill and Morag was delightful. Our rooms were well appointed, quiet, cool. The breakfast we enjoyed especially. Morag is an excellent cook and served us efficiently and pleasantly. While the guys played golf, the women shopped and cruised Loch Ness. Our plans were guided by Bill as to which tour to take on Loch Ness, etc.
This B&B has an additional nicety--a beautiful gathering room where we could discuss plans and just get together for wine and conversation.
We would recommend Ballifeary House highly.
