“Excellent food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2014

2nd visit here and equally good food as last time.
This is a great little hidden gem in Inverness, can only see them climbing the ranks with this standard of cuisine.

“Christmas Joy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2014

Taken me a while to write this but that is no reflection on the meal or service we received on 13 December 2013. Both excellent and a hugh improvevment on probably the last five year's Christmas meals. Big plusses? Attentive staff. Plenty of room around the table (two years ago I ate my meal with just one hand at The Mustard Seed such was the squasing in of tables!). Good portions. All plated - no faffing around with little plates of veggies, etc. Drinks delivered quickly. Water available in jugs for those wanting. And finally, the biggest of all, no second sittings after us so we weren't hounded out of the place. All in all a really nice experience and definitely one that will be repeated.

“Awesome!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2014

Wendy, from the Iona Guest House, recommended this place to my boyfriend and I, and it's safe to say we were not disappointed!
The set evening menu is varied and everything sounded so delicious that it was hard to choose from! The service was fast and the food was amazing. My boyfriend has not stopped going on about how great his steak was! We decided to have the two course meal option, and desert was just as delicious and nicely presented as the dinner was.

The Joy of Taste is a great restaurant and excellent value for money. We would definitely eat here again!

“Food is good but atmosphere is strange”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2014

We had the early evening 2 course meal at £14 pp. The food was good but drinks were a bit overpriced. good service but the decor is a bit strange and the lighting very dim. It's an odd choice of atmosphere in a restaurant.
