“Highly recommend, quality food served with a smile at very reasonable prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013 via mobile

We ate from the early-bird menu which was advertised as being available from 5:30-9:30 pm from Sun-Thurs. 2 courses for £13.95 (steak and scallops incurred a surcharge).

The service was friendly and professional throughout from all 3 staff servicing tables. They assisted us with our poor attempts at local Scottish pronunciations too!

The choice of food was excellent; 5-6 starters and 5-6 main courses. The highlight was the Scallop starter served in a rich but not overpowering garam masala sauce. All dishes we ate were delicious.

“Staffing with a difference!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

As the front of house staff don't do this for money it's not surprising that they were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. For them it's a Saturday night out and not a chore and this certainly came over in our dealings with them. Ths scallop starter with pea and broad bean sauce was delicious with a hint of spice to lift it out of the ordinary and the meat main was equally good. The bread too was very tasty. The wine list was limited but the measures were generous and the whole meal was reasonably priced. My only criticism was that the food came out a little too quickly one course to the other. Still well worth a visit.

Excellent food, excellent value! Scallops as appetizer were excellent. Am from USA, tried this place spur of the moment, definitely not disappointed.

“Not what I expected”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

I use to like that restaurant.I have been going there now and again-with occasions and without.Always were really happy, until the last time.I went there with a friend of mine for a lunch. The waitress's made a mistake with our order. We got totally different stuff from what we ordered. When we told her-she said, that this was , what we had ordered. So we had to eat it,even though we didn't ordered that! Not happy with the service-too many people ,serving one table without communication between them. They left us without cutlery.Overall I am very disappointed. Not going there anymore-switch to Mustard seed-a great restaurant close by

“Excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013 via mobile

Dinner was excellent and the early bird pricing was a very nice surprise. Stopped in for dinner on recommendation do another restaurant in town. Glad we did. We enjoyed the tomato and mozzarella salad as our starter followed by the slow cooked lamb and the duck l'orange. Service friendly and welcoming even on a busy Saturday night.
