“Yet another brilliant night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2012 via mobile

Ok I visited this restaurant a few months ago with my girlfriend and we had a lovely meal.we returned lastnight and the food was even better especially the deserts honestly you have got to try the chocolate and almond pudding. It's to die for.the restaurant was very busy but the staff which I think were mainly volunteers coped very well I overheard alot of people giving very positive comments.definitely go and try this place.I would advise booking in advance as it can get really busy.

“Good and Bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2012

The food is excellent ( Men may find the portions small) The lamb dish served was one of the best. Husband said his steak was dry, and said the sauce was needed.
The price was good £11.75 for an early bird menu ( 2 course)
The bad..it was so very cold, we moved tables but sad to say it was just as cold at new table.
The ladies restroom....Brrrrrrr.
Took me ages to thaw out back at the hotel we stayed in,
The service???? 40 mins wait for a main course, why??? The place was dead..only 7 diners.

“Interesting decor”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2012

This is a quirky restaurant mainly run by volunteers who share in the food and the profits,I believe. The food is tasty and as interesting as the decor.Well worth visiting. The staff(volunteers)are really friendly.

“Pre theatre meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2012

5.30 start was perfect for a leisurly meal before a walk to The Eden theatre. House red - whatever it was, complimented my steak and the chef's mushroom sauce was extremely good. Service was faultless.
