“Peaceful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2011

Pleasantly surprised to find on arrival that we had been upgraded to an Executive room in the Garden extension.
Very modern and spacious complete with fridge, huge bathroom with large shower and queen size bed. Nice to have 2 decent armchairs instead of the usual 1 club chair!
Our room overlooked the gardens and was just a few steps from main hotel with the restaurant in the conservatory. The food was excellent.
Staff pleasant enough but not chatty or knowledgeable about the hotel and the area.

Hotel is outwith centre of Inverness but well worth finding!

This hotel has to be one of the jewels in the crown of accommodation that Inverness has to offer. We were lucky enough to be housed in the Garden annexe in the Fraser Suite, which was a huge, beautifully furnished room. We had dinner in the conservatory and my lamb's livers were to die for. The staff couldn't do enough for you and practically bowed or curtseyed when you met them!!
The hotel is probably a 30 minute walk to the city centre along the banks of the River Ness. We were lazy and took a taxi though! The only ever so slightly negative comment I would make would be the times of breakfast - between 7.30 and 9.30 on a Saturday is still a tad early for me, especially when there isn't a sound to wake you, but probably perfectly fine for non-sleepy heads!!

Hotel was immaculate, very clean and well equiped. Food was fantastic. Staff couldn't do enough for you.

To be picky, the only downsides were that it was about a 30 min walk from town and the charge for room service was the most expensive we have come across at £7.50.

But in all - very good :-)

Upgraded to Garden wing room. Breakfast fresh, hot and very tasty. Bed comfortable (hard mattress). Shower room large, bright and immaculately clean. Staff pleasant, though not told any details of dinner, breakfast and other hotel services at checkin. Would stay in this hotel again as it was a reasonable price on Laterooms.com.

Stayed in this hotel last night for one night as visiting Inverness. Booked on hotel website and paid £63 for B&B for both of us for one night. Room was suite (room no 21) in garden annexe. Lovely spacious room, high standard, very clean, comfortable bed. Room well equipped with good hairdryer, iron/ironing board, tea/coffee and complimentary bottled water. freeview tv with plenty of choice of channels. lovely view of garden grounds out french doors. in nicer weather it would be lovely to sit in the evening on pation outside doors enjoying views of garden. staff helpful and friendly. breakfast - choice of continental or full cooked breakfast, excellent. 5 minute car journey into centre of inverness. i would definitely return and recommend to anyone looking to spend some time in inverness.
