Great hotel, Great staff, Great food and drink, Great location, Great value, Great experience.

The hotel is made up of two houses each of which fits the location superbly. One house has the hustle and bustle of two restaurants and a bar, the other much more tranquil.

Myself and my husband stayed for a night bed and breakfast in a club double for £89, £20 more expensive than a "classic double" and I honestly can not tell you what justified the extra £20. The river view maybe?? Wifi didn't work which was annoying, bathroom was tiny and the lamp by the dressing table didn't work.
Having said all that though, breakfast was epic! So big thumbs up to the chefs. It almost made the stay worth it.

We arrived at this hotel to a very warm and genuine welcome and were swiftly checked in to our reasonably sized and well furnished room overlooking the river. The room was warm and comfortable after our long (and chilly trip) and everything was very clean. The bathroom was fitted only with a shower, but that was excellent with high pressure. We ate in the brasserie, Contrast, where the service was excellent and the menu interesting. Execution of the menu was reasonable but not fantastic. Breakfast from the kitchen however was very good, although when we arrived for breakfast at 930 (ending at 10) the buffet was not very well stocked. Overall a very good experience. We would definitely return if in Inverness again.

We visited the glenmoriston town house in order to participate in a whisky tasting experience. I believe they offer different priced options and ours was about £20pp but you can pay more if you want downy whiskies or a private room.

We were the only people in the bar and we're attended to by the very knowledgeable Robert who took us through 5 different types of whiskies, providing us with lots of facts about the history and production. Even though I'm not a whisky fan, this was a great thing to experience during a visit to the Highlands!

We had originally planned to do a whisky tour in a distillery but this was much more personable and relaxed in a very nice atmosphere!

P.s. We switched to cocktails after and they are delicious!
