“Hugh Allison, the most knowledgeable, charming and entertaing guide in Inverness and the Highlands”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

In August of 2013 I had the great pleasure of spending a day in and around Inverness in the company of friends from Australia and the incomparable Hugh Allison. What a treat. I can't praise his graciousness, humor and wealth of information enough, I would repeat the experience in heartbeat, again and again.

“Trip to Skye”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

Require payment in advance but worth it to have your own guide and van. We did the shorter Sky tour with Hugh Allison. What a great guide, so much information and fun stories. The time flew by; we had a great time.Time to get out of the van to take pictures, we toured Eilean Donan castle, fed horses, walked by the sea, Highly recommended, we hope to do another tour sometime.

“A great way to see the sights of the Highlands”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

We (4 of us) took a day tour of the Highlands and Isle of Skye with Inverness tours, our very informative guide was John.John is a fountain of knowledge and will keep you entertained all day with scottish history and tales, and a bit of humour thrown in as well. An 8/9 hour day went so quickly and definitely worth the money spent., we recommend Inverness tours

“Best way to see the Highlands”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

We were a group of 6 ladies from Canada and booked a full day tour of the Inverness area with Inverness Tours. John, our tour guide for the day, arrived in full Scottish attire right down to the kilt and sporran. He was very knowledgeable about the area and made it very fun and interesting. We gave him an idea of the places that we wanted to visit and he covered all of them and more. He even recommended some great restaurants in Inverness to us. At the end, he gave us a demonstration on weapons used in Scotland of old. This is the ideal way to see the Highlands. Highly recommend both John and the company.

“A must see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

It was our first visit to Scotland. After a 16 hr plane ride and another 3 hour train ride we arrived in beautiful Scotland. We booked Inverness tours based on tripadvisor reviews and we were not disappointed. Anyone who visits Inverness should book this 2 hour tour. Our guide, Hugh, met us with his very spacious and comfortable van. Hugh was an excellent guide - - very well versed with historical facts and anecdotes. The tour was well paced, relaxing and yet comprehensive. His narrations blended the old and contemporary which made it more interesting. He was patiently answered all our questions. He gave us ample time to enjoy the sites, take pictures and even taste a traditional Scottish lunch.
For first timers like us, this tour was worth every pound! The tour gave a good appreciation of the land and its people. Such a picturesque place. We are definitely returning to take their Highlands tour!
