“One of the only that serves you after 8h30! Great manager, great food !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013 via mobile

We were a group of 11 people, walking around the city. The restaurant was the only only one who took us.
And a really nice surprise!
Good beer, mojitos or bellinis, but nice food as well, for an OK price :)
A special thank to Andy the manager who made a special show about the bar nearby!
Thank you !

“We greatly recommend this place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013 via mobile

Upon arriving in Inverness, we were hungry and were walking in the city centre. We were not sure where to eat. The Corner Bar and Bistro looks like a nice place from the outside. We were greatly pleased with everything. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The wine was good. We shared a haggis, neeps and tatties with a whiskey sauce as an appetizer. It was out of this world delicious. We have tried haggis multiple times in Scotland and have found it uneven in taste. We would definitely get this one again. One meal we tried was a wild boar sausage. We like to try new things and found it absolutely delicious and would also get it again. We tried an icecream that was really good. They knew their whiskeys and were able to make a good recommendation for us. The ambiance of the place was very pleasant. We highly recommend The Corner Bar and Bistro for a great all round experience that does not hurt the bank account.

“Good and Bad....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013 via mobile

We ate here last Monday evening (8th April). Restaurant appearance good, staff welcoming and friendly. Drinks came out quite quickly, the food however did not. Don't go here if you're in a hurry.

Our starters took 45 minutes to be served and although the main courses came out fairly soon after, this meant that we were finishing our mains at nearly 10pm (we arrived at 8:30). This seemed to result in us experiencing quite a lot of the restaurants close down activities, like cashing up the bar, by staff sat on the customer side of the bar and rather loud music seemed to appear that wasn't being played earlier. All of this resulted in us feeling hurried to leave. On top of the above, I asked for Peppermint tea and received Camomile, I pointed this out to the staff and they did the offer to change it but by this point we just wanted to leave.

All of the above is a real shame as the quality of food was very good, nicely presented and tasted great. One of the chefs even asked us about the steak my Husband had and we did feel he was genuinely concerned about how the food was received. They just need to do it a bit faster and perhaps keep things like cashing up out of the way of customers who are still eating.

Somewhere a bit different, service was good, quite quick. The staff were pleasant and food was great. Good location in centre of Inverness. Will visit again, soon I hope.
