Looks a bit better on the outside now that refurb is complete and inside is lovely. This should be one of my locals and hoped to use it a bit more .....I attended a party last night and the service was terrible. So short staffed and had to wait about 10 mins to get served. I ended up trying to get served in the public bar but the barman was obviously getting stressed which resulted in him being a bit abrupt. Surely when they know a private function is taking place they would have more than one bar person. Also no brandy available in the function bar which meant they were running between bars. Eventually another girl appeared but didn't seem to make much difference......so the other local wins!
