This made a great place for two nights on a rail trip round Scotland, and for visiting Caithness Horizons and the Castle of Mey. We had Room 1, which is spacious, stylishly furnished, and has windows on two sides – one looking along the sea front and the other out across the bay, to Holburn Head and the Orkneys. We had a friendly welcome from Debbie, who was standing in for Karen for a couple of days and looked after us very well. The Marine is very smart but informal and relaxed. Although Room 1 is fairly expensive for a B&B it's quite special and we’d be pleased to stay there again.
