Found this place on the web and booked over the phone.

We had our 4 year old with us so needed a room with 3 beds, so we were givin one in the extension at the rear which is all set up for wheelchair access, with wide doors, ramps etc and a huge wheelchair friendly bathroom which fascinated our son.

Huge breakfast, nice and quiet, and its on the main road through Aviemore, what more could you want.

I needed one nights accomodation for a party of 3 adults and 2 children and booked directly with the Ravenscraig which was fast, efficient and painless. We were given two adjoining chalet rooms at the back which were beautifully presented, spacious and absolutely spotless- made me very sorry we were only there one night! The guests lounge was really comfortable with loads of information on local sights and restaurants (can HIGHLY recommend the Cairngorm Hotel along the road for dinner). Staff were helpful but unobtrusive. Breakfast was wonderful; smoked salmon and scrambled egg bagel with creme fraiche, local jams and conserves, and the best sausages my kids have ever eaten! Would definately stay there again and not even bother trying elsewhere. Just one thing; there was a rabbit in a hutch outside on the grass at night which by morning, had mysteriously disappeared. We still wonder about that rabbit!!

“Lovely and Clean”

Me and my family stayed at the Ravenscraig Guest House for one night as we were going to Landmark Forest Theme Park. I seen the hotel on the internet and took the chance and booked it. We stayed in one of the chalets at the back of the guest house it was lovely and clean, the bathroom and the bed linen was especially clean and fresh.

If we were to visit Aviemore again in the future we would be going back to the Ravenscraig. The staff in the morning were nice anf friendly and couldn't do enough for you and our kids enjoyed there stay al

“Wonderful place to stay”

We found this guest house on a google search and took a chance since I could not find any TA reviews. We were happy with our choice. We stayed in the main house facing the street which was a little noisy when the window was open. It is at the end of the main strip but just a few minutes walk to all the shops and places to eat.

The room was nicely decorated with obvious thought put into it. The beds were firm and comfortable with nice clean linens. Breakfast was severed in a cafe style room since there are quite a few guests. This was nice as you could choose to keep to yourself if you wanted. Great selection and the potato scones were yummy!

FYI the "cat" sleeping on the chair when you walk in is fake. It had me doing a double take every time we walked in the door.
