“Friendly, welcoming, and wonderful breakfasts, all centrally located in the middle of Aviemore.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2010

The guest house was centrally located, just over the railway bridge from the railway station, and centre of the town. The owners are friendly and welcoming, with no restrictions placed on remaining in rooms. The rear rooms have a wonderful view of the Cairngorms, and the rooms are clean, brightly decorated and spacious. The breakfasts were splendid, and varied. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, which was very reasonably priced. We also enjoyed the local pub, the Bridge Inn, which was only a few hundred yards away.

My stay at Ardlogie was very comfortable - an easy 2 minutes walk from the station, (tho' I never once heard a train passing) and therefore also 2 minutes walk from the bus to Cairngorm mountain.
The hosts were a lovely couple, offering genuinely good customer service, and hearty, delicious breakfasts to order.
My room was very comfortable, immaculately clean, and well heated. The free wi-fi connection was excellent, and easy to access.
As a solo traveller I felt quite at ease.
The only thing you might want in this location is a drying room, but there is a large porch area for leaving wet boots, etc. In your room, plenty tea and coffee is provided with the kettle - tho I must admit I love it when there's hot chocolate and a couple bits of shortbread! :)
The ensuite shower room provided soap, but not shampoo/conditioner.
If you don't have a car, the golf and country park is a good 25 minutes walk away, but you do get free access to the pool, sauna, etc.

My girlfriend and I stayed here two nights in December 2009. Ardlogie is ideally situated to discovery Aviemore and the surrounding Cairngorm National Park - we enjoyed many a hike on the two days we spent in the area.

I found the couple who run the B&B to be very friendly and ready to volunteer their local knowledge of Aviemore and the Cairngorms. Most importantly, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and this fact isn't lost on them! The breakfasts were fantastic.

Have recommended the B&B to friends.

Stayed for a few days before Christmas. We had two rooms, a double and a twin. The rooms a cosy and warm with small but more than adequate en suites. The rooms are small, but we found room for suitcases and there was hanging and drawers. The pictures on the website are accurate. The views were wonderful. We had one over the snow covered back garden to the river at the bottom of the yard. We were very warm at night, even though the temperature overnight dropped to -18 C

The owners were friendly and helpful. They had a drying room for wet ski gear, and were happy to check on weather and road conditions.

Breakfast was great, with plenty of choices if you stay more than one night, eg smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.

The guest house if a short walk into town, just down the road a bit and over a pedestrian bridge. We did the walk even in the snow .

WE really enjoyed the stay and found it very good value.

Richard and Elaine at Ardlogie are great folks who care about the quality of their guest house and the experience that their guests have. The room was large, clean, up to date. The whole place had a great feel to it. Breakfast was excellent. I look forward to heading back some time!
