Last week in September, we were surprised to find this railway still running daily, many others work only weekends at this time of year. Our train was full with several coach parties but the staff coped well and fitted everybody in. The scenery is good and the engine running round at the end of the line and stopping half way for coaling gave everyone the chance for a good photograph. Friendly loco crew will usually let you visit the footplate. We did not try the lunch or dinner trains but they are worth a look
