We came just back from a 3 night stay. We had booked the room number 5.Nice hotel with friendly staff .We had good continental breakfast.We had two times dinner in the hotel,and it was excellent! the hotel is well situated to explore the local attractions loch ness..cairngorms mountains.

We had a wonderful stay in May, The room was great spotlessly clean and the furnishings of a very high standard. The chef really knows how to cook. Small homely hotel in perfect location. We liked it so much we are going back in September.

Just back from a 2 night stay. Extremely nice hotel with friendly staff very well located for hillwalking and other outdoor pursuits - they have a secure bike store and drying room which is ideal if the weather's a bit soggy (as it was unfortunately). Nice relaxed atmosphere with plenty space in the bar and 2 lounges to enjoy a drink before/after dinner. Rooms slightly chinzy in decor but very clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was very good (wonderfully light baked vanilla cheesecake was a highlight) as were the breakfasts. Would have given it 5 stars but being an old building the soundproofing not surprisingly isn't great. We were on the first floor above the public areas and found that the voices from below did keep us awake on the Friday night when there was quite a large party in for dinner. It certainly wouldn't stop us going back however, we'd simply try to book a room on the top floor.

Fantastic hotel. Rooms superb with great views - Room 5 is a corner room with 3 windows and fantasic views.

The best thing about this hotel is the quality of food seved in the dining room in the evening. The chef and part owner is a very talented cook producing incredible quality meals at very reasonable prices.

Best food I tasted all week on a tour of Scotland.
