On a recommendation from a friend we took the 3-day romance package in early November. Tremendous value with wine, champagne, flowers, chocs, dinner all-inclusive. Place quite busy with sports shooters. Weather not so good but warm coal/wood fires in Bar and Lounge and hot bedrooms, had to open the windows. The only time you noticed the climate was when the dog had to be walked. Hotel has kennels but not considered suitable for our pampered hound. Would suggest a visit if in area.

A lovely little country house hotel - well situated for exploring the Highlands.
The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful, the bedroom (Superior) was first class - clean and well decorated with all necessary facilities. The decor of the public rooms was impressive and the nightly coal fires added a homely feel.
Not sure that the food was up to the standard of the rest of the facilities though (butcher might need a talking to!) - for a bar meal, the standard was great but the formal meal menu seemed only to be a slight modification to the bar menu.
That said, I would not hesitate to return

We booked into the Dalrachney Lodge Hotel only a couple of weeks before our stay and managed to get the last room they had available. We were not expecting anything too great as it was the last room and the price was very reasonable.

On arrival we were very surprised by the quality of the hotel. The public rooms were very well presented and our room, whilst not large, had super views and a lovely homely feel.

We had more pleasant surprises in store ! We went down for dinner and had a choice of two menus and whether we wanted to dine in the bar or the restaurant. We chose the restaurant and were shown to a table by the window which again had beautiful views. The food was delicious - not fancy, but very tasty . In fact, we were staying here for four nights and had intended to eat in one or two and go out the other nights but we were so impressed we stayed in every night !

We stayed at three different hotels whilst touring scotland and this was definately the surprise package. It really did represent excellent value for money at about half the price of the other two hotels.

We stayed here for 2 nights in one of the superior rooms. The food was great- tasty and very filling. You relax in the lounge and look at the menu then are taken through to either the lounge or dining room depending on how formal you want your dinner. We were in the dining room and had a lovely table overlooking the garden and mountains in the distance.
The room was large and airy with a lovely view, but the decor was very dated and bathroom toilet made all sorts of funny noises!
Overall we enjoyed our stay- the location is good for scenery and local attractions.

We had booked to stay in one of the Coach House rooms but as it was out of season we found ourselves upgraded to stay in the Lodge itself.

Lovely room, spectacular view and friendly staff. Although not included in the price of the room the breakfast was well worth £7 per head - fruit juice, fresh fruit or cereal, and choice of hot breakfasts along with toast. Even adding on the breakfasts we got to stay in a lovely hotel witha fantastic breakfast for only slightly more than a room only in a Travellodge etc.

Thoroughly recommended and would definitely stay again when back in the area.
