We booked this property for a family gathering in late 2012, looks great online, up close it's entirely different.
This place is disgustingly dirty. Of the many bathrooms it claims to have, one en-suite was full of mould and unuseable (see photos). One was a single toilet, without toilet paper or a lightbulb. One had a bath with a shower attachment you have to hold to stand under. Only one had an actual useable shower. In a property that claims to be accomodation for so many people that's unacceptable. The problem is not that the building is old, most of the bathrooms seemed to be more recent additions, the problem is that they are poorly thought out and haven't been cleaned properly in months. The showers were so disgusting I wouldn't set foot in it if I was wearing large boots and fully clothed, certainly not barefoot!
The owner knew there were at 9 adults staying the weekend and she supplied one roll of toilet paper.
My dad ripped his foot open on a nail sticking up from a floorboard.
The kitchen is disgusting.
The towels were possibly older than the building itself.
For the price of this place there is no need for them to be so skimpy, I certainly don't expect to have to go to the supermarket for basics like toilet paper and bleach (and lots of it!) to make my accomodation useable.
