I visited in May and found this a great place. It's a lovely drive through Boat of Garten past the Loch itself, and the centre is very easy to find and well signposted. Plenty of parking and very helpful staff on entering.
Right by the entrance were some bird feeders and they were visited by a Crested Tit whilst I was ther. Thanks to Tim (?) who pointed this out whilst I had my back to it.
The short walk to the hide is very pleasant and then there is plenty to do - apart from the obvious highlight ofr watvhing the Osprey nest, This can be seen with your own binoculars, the scopes set up by the staff, or from the wbecams on the tv screens. There are also feeders set out so that you can watch all the various Tits, Finches etc. who were really active whilst I was there. I also spotted a Woodpecker, and even a vole picking up dropped seeds on the ground.
I didn't see any Red Squirrels but they are regular visitors too.
There are reference books and information guides around and the staff here were also very helpful.
For a small centre the shop was well stocked and seemed popular. Overall the centre was busy but not crowded and the other visitors were friendly and respectful
All in all a great way to spend some time - as much or as little as you like. I would have stayed much longer but I wasn't able to,
