Description: We use some of Scotland's best local produce to create healthy, wholesome & interesting food with a Kiwi twist. We opened our doors in 2004 and have been gaining awards and accolades for our antipodean style coffees, delicious breakfasts, superb lunches & fresh home baking ever since. Our service is friendly & casual with a professional team from all over the world. The café offers excellent views of the Cairngorm Mountains - enjoy our balcony area during summer and the cosy log burner to sit by during the winter months. All the pictures are of our food - why not come in and sample our hospitality when you are in the area next?

“Quality baking matches outstanding view...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2013 via mobile

This small, unassuming restaurant cafe is located above the outdoor shop and is a welcome treat to all Aviemore visitors. As you enter you are greeted by friendly staff and the comforts of home cooking and a warm fire.

Table numbers are limited so be prepared for a short wait, however the staff are accommodating to all. Be aware however that coach/bus parties are discouraged.

Visiting at breakfast, the drinks and food menu was extensive, catering for all tastes, including celiacs. The order for eight promptly arrived within minutes, despite being busy.

The breakfast rolls, cakes, scones and fruit salad were all prepared to perfection, with decent portion sizes. The coffee was well made, however the tea was distinctly average.

All in all, I would recommend paying a visit for quality, well priced food and drink.

“Most popular cafe in town; for good reason”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2013 via mobile

Always popular it seems. We have visited the cafe most times we are in the area on holidays. This time we had a late lunch, consisting of the smoked haddock soup with crayfish, which also comes with a savoury scone. Then just about had space for cake, the extensive selection of fresh cakes is amazing, and again, we had to ask for a wee box to take home the rest of our cake, the slices are huge, but very welcome and delicious. Staff seem happy at work, in the busy but relaxing environment, with views of the mountains.

“Great local food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013

We enjoyed a really good Sausage & egg roll, tea & cake and black pudding and egg roll, coffee, and cake - good quality local ingredients at a reasonable price (for Aviemore)
