“All that Jazz”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

We always enjoy this restaurant and it didn't disappoint we had a warm friendly welcome from one of the managers , a charming man ( sorry missed his name) We were shown to a very nice table , booth style and had excellent service throughout the meal. My partner had the seafood linguine, he said it was really good and I a chicken pasta dish ( forget the title!) but it was excellent , the only blot on the landscape was the choice of music (jazz!) the horn was too much for an early evening, enjoy it at home Andy!
Over all a lovely experience, Thanks

“Fantastic restaurant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

We have visited here on a few occasions as a couple and in a group and the standard of food and service has been very high. That can be the case with many good restaurants but when it comes to a eating there when the place is packed on a saturday night alot of places let themselves down but not Amarone. My wife and i had a table booked for 8pm on a saturday night and the place was very busy. We were seated for drinks before being taken to our table 10 minutes later by the very pleasent staff. We were served by a few different members of staff and they all knew exactly what each other was doing, we waited for nothing and there was still a personal touch aswell as good humour from all of them despite the place being at full capacity. I had 3 courses and my wife had 2 and every course was timed perfectly, there was no rush to get you in and out of the place as quickly as possible which happens to often on busy saturday nights in the city centre. The food was excellent, meat & veg cooked to perfection, full of freshness, flavours and presented very well. For no reason at all my wife was given a complimentry drink which was a very nice touch. We booked through 5pm.com which gave us 2 courses on the a la carte menu for £19.95 and offered excellent value for money but even without this offer the restaurant gives excellent value for the standard of food and service. We will definately be back soon!

“Celebrating end of exams”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

We went out as a family for two reasons, end of exams and a new job. We love Italian food and were really looking forward to some excellent food and drink along with a great atmosphere in a well reviewed and popular restaurant in the city centre.
Starting with the food we were all very happy with the portions and the quality. It really was very good. The service was excellent and the waiters were very attentive and happy to help. Unfortunately for us when we were in there was a very large party on the lower level and the noise was uncomfortably loud, a constant din ringing in our ears. We felt we had to shout to hear each other. The other thing was the air conditioning, as can happen with many places this size, the AC does not know quite what to do and it got very cold where we were sitting. However the waiter turned it off when we requested it.
Overall it was a very enjoyable night but I don't think I'll hurry back as I thought it a little expensive for Italian, even in the centre of town, and the noise and temperature was disappointing. But I cannot fault the quality of the food.

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

My work has taken us to amarone on two occasions for our work christmas night out and both times were amazing. We were a group of over 30 and everyone of us had a great meal and night out . Our three course meal was fantastic with a starter of garlic prawns to follow on with an amazing steak and chocolate cake for pudding . I would go back here in a heart beat just to have the steak alone . Worth a try!!
