“Once Again Superb”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

Right not been for over a year so when we saw a special offer we grabbed it. So not paying full price you think you would be put to the bootom of the list? NOPE NOT AT ALL!!
Was a warm welcome in a nice relaxing atmosphere, with the owner taking time to have a wee chat. Staff were great, friendly and polite and always willing to help.
As for the food, good choice of meats and fish that you may not get else where, you choose what you want to eat, then the spices and sauces hand to the chef who makes sure it is cooked properly, how can you go wrong?
Had a great time and the only minus is, we took to long to go back, that will not happen again!! Been to the one in Hong Kong and this matches it to a T, Thanks for a great night .

Hi Dave,
Thanks for taking the time to review the restaurant - we value any and all feedback from our guests. I'm thrilled that you enjoyed your night, and that you had time to chat to the owner too. Thanks for your outline of the process too as it will help those who are unsure about how it works.
Hope to see you again soon and all the best.
Kind regards,
Matthew Reed

“Excellent Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

This used to be a regular haunt of mine, before I settled into suburban life with more kiddies than I can shake a stick at. Anyway - hubby and I managed to sneak out for a meal this evening. Great choice of starters - we had mixed game spring rolls with plum sauce - big portion, very meaty, very tasty. Main course was the "Mongolian BBQ" - ie. choice of rice/noodes, loads of vegetables, loads of meats (including kangaroo, horse, baby octopus), herbs and spices, which a friendly chef stir fries and a waiter brings to your table. Dessert choice was good too - we both had mars bar cheese cake - delicious! Coffee was lovely and strong too. Loved the individual 200ml bottle of rose cava at £4.75 too. Waiter and waitress both very accommodating, pleasant and helpful. From my younger days, I remember it would be a great place for a big crowd - plenty of space for big tables and I think they offer some sort of fancy stuff for birthdays etc. Might try to organise something for erm...ahem...my 50th birthday.

“Top Notch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

Great! On my previous visit I made the hottest dish and to be honest it wasn't nice. This time I made the Ruby Khan with beef and it was splendid. The starter of spring rolls with meat filling was excellent and the dessert of Mars Bar cheesecake was outstanding. We had a pre-theatre type deal so only one main course dish but it was a good portion size and with the other two courses I was left feeling satisfied yet not over-full. Table service perfect as were the drinks served.

“Enjoyed it, tasty food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013 via mobile

This was our 1st visiting the restaurant and we will definetely be back.

The food was lovely and all freshly cooked by the chefs on a hot plate. Good choice of different meats eg zebra, kangaroo and wild boar. There is also beef and chicken if you are maybe not so adventurous. The buffet style is great and you can go up as many times as you want, plenty of fresh salad, noodles, rice n bean sprouts to choose from. There is recipes on the wall and ingredients to make them sitting in dishes and you make your own sauce, which ever one you fancy.

Excellent value for money, £22pp for starter, eat as much as you like buffet and dessert. The mars bar cheesecake was lovely.

My only criticism was that they were a bit slow with bringing the drinks order.

Overall excellent and can't wait to return
