“An absolute MUST”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

Whether you are a local or a tourist, Mother India is an absolute MUST. If there is a queue (you can't book) it is well worth the wait. Indian tapas at exceptionally good value, would suggest no more than 5 dishes between 2. Service efficient and pleasant, food is divine - I don't think me or my partner spoke to each other the entire time food was present.

“Worth the wait”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

Visiting Glasgow as son at uni there. went on a Saturday about 6pm so had to wait for about an hour for a table. It was well worth the wait. Lovely idea to have lots of different things to try. some of the dishes I hadn't had before for instance, the rice with cashrew nuts was perfect. The manager was very apologetic about the delay but explained it was their busiest time. Service was very efficient and the cost was very reasonable. I believe you can book and they do take away both from the resturant and a shop next door. the only disapointment was that the nan was quite cooked through. We go to Indian restaurants regually in Bradford and this compares very favourably. Would definitely go again.

“Perfect Indian food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

I ate here on a Wednesday night, there is usually a queue at the door but you never have to wait long and it is always worth it. I had daal curry, saag paneer, rice and naan. It's reasonably priced and always tastes amazing. The atmosphere is nice and always busy and a great view of Kelvingrove Art Gallery. Helpful and friendly staff. Gorgeous tapas style Indian food and a great feel!

“Just about...Lovely”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

Been into Mother India's cafe a few times - first time was great and lovely food and great service. Second time - was slightly busier (queing outside in glasgow rain) but luckily not for long. Meal was delicious - nicely presented and good portion sizes! - Would visit again.

“Superb”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

After visiting Mother India's Dining In restaurant last time we were in Glasgow, we decided to eat here this time. The food is exquisite. Every dish is really tasty. Service is really quick and efficient, but once you are seated there is no sense of being hurried to make room for others. Staff are really attentive and alert to your needs. This is, without doubt, the best Indian restaurant I have had the pleasure to eat in.
