Stayed twice. It’s basic, but in the UK they are reasonable value which is their big plus and that they allow a third person for the same price. The a/c was noisy (as they tend to be), they never made up the third bed, or had a third towel (both times) but it was clean and everything worked. Our first visit was a Friday night when it was booked out with younger people. They where banging doors and running up and down the hallways all night. Needless to say we stayed in our room with the door locked. (No problems with this on our second visit.) The CCTV mustn’t have worked down in the office, or they couldn’t have been bothered. Actually the staff where pretty ordinary, generally uninterested and certainly not helpful. Have wireless in the main office/dining hall. Reasonably priced as with most of the newer etaps. The lift is suspect if you need your card to get above the 6 floor too, which is a pain. I suspect it’s been an unresolved problem for sometime as is getting in late using your card to access the main door. They do have an intercom.

Should mention we had a fantastic time with our family at a local nearby pub, the Quayside, just out the back. (opposite side to the main entrance). There is an entrance to the road through the car park, turn right and it’s the first pub on the right after the first intersection. Opens early and closes late. Say you heard some Aussies recommended it.

At £32 a night you cant go wrong. The rooms are like student accomadation with a double bed and bunk bed above this. Altough the rooms are small they are clean and simple, the beds are comfortable and the shower good and powerfull.
Its about a 15min walk into the centre of glasgow and the hotel is situated beside a cinema, bowling alley, casino and various restarurants to suit all tastes.
There are also bars in the local area beside the hotel.
With parking included you wont find a better deal for staying in glasgow on a budget.
I stayed for 3 nights and cannot fault it, however at the weekends it does get a bit loud at night as many young people seem to stay there for nights out in glasgow.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for one night just to get a night on our own. You get what you pay for really - its not luxurious but its a decent place to stay for the night. The room was clean and had a built-in shower and a seperate toilet and the sink was in the room. It had a flat screen tv in the corner with a good few channels. It also had hangers to hang up our jackets etc. What more do you want or expect for £32.00? It has about 5 restaurants round about and a cinema and bowling alley. Perfect. Il definetly go back there. The breakfast was fine too - all you can eat -croissants,toast cereal, juice, hot drinks. Its a bargain for £2.95! The whole place is a bargain - if you want luxury go else where and pay the price for it somewhere else.

I was looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Glasgow.

I didn't have very high expectations, but was pleasantly surprised by Etap.

The room itself is like a clean, modern dorm room. Brand new shower with good water pressure.

It's actually right along the river, about a 10 minute walk from the main train station. And it's next to several handy restaurants like Nandos and Ask. There's also an Odeon theatre right next store.

Taxis are pretty inexpensive in Glasgow - a taxi to the west end was about £10.

So all in all, was a very good value.
