I was looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Glasgow.

I didn't have very high expectations, but was pleasantly surprised by Etap.

The room itself is like a clean, modern dorm room. Brand new shower with good water pressure.

It's actually right along the river, about a 10 minute walk from the main train station. And it's next to several handy restaurants like Nandos and Ask. There's also an Odeon theatre right next store.

Taxis are pretty inexpensive in Glasgow - a taxi to the west end was about £10.

So all in all, was a very good value.

Found this hotel when looking for a cheap one night stay in Glasgow.
At £32 it undercut Travelodge and Travel Inn by over £20.

Pretty basic hotel, but comfortable bed and all the stuff you need, en-suite, TV and enough room for 3 people if required.
Also - the parking is free in the attached multi-storey car park.

Breakfast was basic but for £3 was ideal.

I'd definitely recommend staying here again - I will be!.

This is a really good accommodation solution. It's clean and comfortable. It may be basic but if you're just looking for a great value night then Etap is your answer. Parking is also free which is such a bonus in Glasgow.

£32 per room per night, the room slept 3 with a double bed and single bunk over the top. Rooms were en suite with built in shower cubicle and had a desk and small flat screen TV in the corner.

Felt a bit like being on a boat to be honest but for the price - it was fine.

We booked in advance to stay for a night out in Glasgow, it was cheaper than the £60 taxi fare home!

Situated at the Quay, just across the river from the City Centre, cinema, restaurants and soon to open Casino on the doorstep, reception will happily call you a taxi to get into town - cost us £3 (no more than 10-15 min walk for the less lazy!)

Can't fault it at all, basic, cheap and most importantly, spotlessly clean!

Had open plan reception and eating area with vending machines and continental breakfast in the morning, we didn't try it but think it was £2 or £3

So long as you don't expect toiletries or hair dryers - a clean bed and towels is as good as it gets!

ideal for a girls/boys night out in the town!
