“Graduation meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

What a wonderful find - thank goodness for tripadvisor! This is a really lovely restaurant serving Scottish produce. A very unassuming exterior but inside is friendly, comfortable and the food is superb. Harry, our waiter, could not have been more helpful. My daughter & I are vegetarian and asked if there were any other veggie options available. Harry spoke to the chef and came back with many choices. In the end we chose a mini risotto for starters (I had butternut squash, my daughter had mushroom and asparagus) and we both agreed it was the nicest risotto we had ever tasted! Then the chef created a vegetarian smorgasbord for our main dish. This was perfect as there were plenty of varied flavours. The carnivores in our party were all delighted with their meals too; and four of us chose sticky toffee pudding with caramel sauce and ice cream for dessert - scrumptious! Best to book as it isn't very big. We brought our own champagne which helped keep costs down. Great value for money as we got 20% off the food bill as it was for graduation. This is a gem of a restaurant - go seek it out and enjoy!

“A great find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

You will not be impressed from the outside, but once you enter you will have found one of Glasgow's culinary secrets. The staff are great, the food is better, and this small quaint restaurant will remind you of that favourite place you had years ago. Plan to have a reservation, or show up before the theatre crowd to get a table. It will be worth it.

“Daughter's 18th birthday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

We visited as a family to celebrate my daughter's 18th and were blown away with the standard of food served there. We all ordered different meals so I had a wee taste of just about everything from the menu and every dish was nothing short of perfection. The restaurant is on the small side but this actually added to the party atmosphere, the whole restaurant helped us sing happy birthday when the chef made birthday cake arrived, complete with candles. The bill was very reasonable and you can BYOB although there is a small corkage charge. We will definitely return and cannot recommend this wee place highly enough!!
