The Newton Hotel is very reasonably priced with a very central location. It is easily accessible by bus and is close to the Buchanan Coach Bus Station. The staff were friendly and the room was very nice and modern. The breakfasts were filling and well prepared. There were two detractants to the hotel which included the two sets of staircases leading to several of the rooms making it difficult to move luggage to and from the reception area. Furthermore, as other traveller's noted there are some problems with sound insulation where noise in the hallway can be heard. Fortunately, the guests during my stay were fairly quiet so I did not have a problem.

Stayed in Glasgow for conference and chose this hotel for location in city centre and price (at late notice). The hotel doesn't look fantastic from the outside but turned out to be more than fine. I had a double room at the back at the hotel which was quiet modern and very clean. Bathroom also very clean with modern decor. Would definitely stay here again.

Travelling alone, I was made to feel really welcome in this family-run guesthouse. As I was concerned about noise, I asked for a room away from Reception and got it.
The room was spotless, not huge but absolutely fine for a stay of two (or more) nights with a neat ensuite shower room (GREAT shower!).
I've had better breakfasts but the cooked breakfast now includes tomatoes mushrooms and beans if you want them. Fruit juices,cereal,fruit, toast, jam and prepacked cheeses are available. They are so helpful, I'm sure you only need to ask.
My Freeview went off before I went out for the evening but was fixed on my return - no problem.
If you ask, there is limited parking at the rear for a small charge a night - CCTV monitored.
The price is incredibly reasonable for being so close to the City Centre - I wanted a relaxing stay and got it.

Stayed in Hotel on 30th March. Warm wellcome at reception given a hand with my luggage also. Room Excellent decor and fresh. Freeview Tv a big bonus also Wi-Fi!!! Showers wonderfull and powerfull also a heated towel rail!! much appreciated. Brekfast is good cooked to order. Would stay there next time am in glasgow. If your looking for a cool and modern hotel..this is the one..!!
