“DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 5!!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

We booked at last minute and were shown to our room , which raised alarm bells as it was literally backing onto reception. The walls are thin and there is no noise insulation, so we could hear every word said in the lobby. Unfortunately, people were arriving back from pubs too, so were quite loud! It felt as if reception were right there in the room and you could literally hear them shuffling paper.
I asked if we could change rooms and was asked why. When I explained, the (pretty unfriendly) night porter said that there was nothing he could do.
Other than that, the room was clean, the breakfast was ok.
Overall the experience felt very budget.

Room Tip: Do not stay in room 5 - if you are offered it - turn around and leave, pay more for a better hotel r...

Great location for Kings Theatre! Staff were friendly and helpful, nice bedroom and shower.
A bit noisy being so close to the main street and nightclub but we still slept alright.
Downside was the cooked breakfast, go for the continental. Reasonably priced rooms
But £20 dearer on this particular night.

Was recommended to us by a friend. Payment was taken when making the reservation, we got 10% off by booking on the hotels own website. This included breakfast. Room was a fine size for 2 of us. Free wifi is available - password available from reception.

We had a room round the back downstairs. I am a light sleeper but no noise to keep me awake. Slept ok. Shower was fine, but no place to put your toiletries.

Bed was small for 2 people. Seemed clean enough but in the morning we were scratching our legs, so no idea if there were bugs about. Carpet was grubby.

Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Glasgow. Breakfast was fine but hubby's fried breakfast didn't look like it had been freshly cooked but my scrambled eggs were.

If in Glasgow we wouldn't stay here again.

Great location in city centre especially for kings theatre. Friendly staff and nice comfy double bed and clean bathroom with great shower facilities. Downside with this hotel is with simple things that could be easily rectified by the management. Carpet in bedroom was not very clean and had holes in it (room 8). Breakfast was the cheapest of ingredients and tasteless turkey rashers was offered instead of bacon. Tv was too loud in breakfast room but lovely waitress turned it down for us. Parking behind hotel in secured hotel car park was a bonus especially with being in centre of Glasgow (£5 extra charge)

Room Tip: We had room at back overlooking car park but was nice and quiet and we slept well.

All round nice hotel, very clean, nice power shower, good location and very good sized room.
Only down point is up and down loads of stairs and through the breakfast bar with cases just to get to our room, to find a door that is right next to the main door leading onto the street, I know it's used as a fire door, but should be able to be used for getting cases to rooms.
