Made an impromptu visit to Las Iguanas a few Saturdays ago at about 7pm. We just popped in on the off chance and didn't expect to get a table but were advised it was only a half hour wait so decided to have a drink at the bar whilst we waited. Lovely restaurant - nice and spacious but has a nice buzzy feel to it as well, with a very busy bar area.
After about 20 minutes we were shown to our table and we decided to sample a cocktail whilst we looked at the menu. Can't remember the name of the cocktail (a Mango something!) but it was lovely - very drinkable!
Ordered the taco sharing platter for starters which was lovely and then the steak fajitas for main. They were nice, but I'd say on a par with pretty much anywhere else you would get fajitas from. You also don't get some of the sides you get as standard elsewhere with fajitas with them and have to pay extra so ended up paying nearly £17 for fajitas which I felt was a bit pricey.
Shared the churros with the dulce de leche sauce and they were to die for!
The service was very good and we were well attended to without being hassled.
There's a lot on the menu that's not the standard fare you get at Mexican type restaurants and I will definitely be back to sample some of those (and the cocktails!) again in future.
