We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and were more impressed by the day. The apartment was spotless, stylish and huge. The staff were superb, always smiling and great for helping pick restaurants. Great value, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and massive lounge all for less than the price of a grotty B&B per person.

I stayed for 6 nights at the Loft Apartments while attending a conference in Glasgow in August 2008. I had high expectations based on reviews and the price I paid for the accomodation.
My heart sank when my taxi drver pulled up at the address. Not a very good look from the street.
Once at reception I felt reassured. The apartment itself was well fitted out and was very comfortable. The kitchen was great except for the provision of just 2 teaspoons, 2 forks, 2 knives, 2 glasses, 2 cups, 2 plates etc. I find this petty and annoying and it results in the dishwasher being used excessively for small loads.
The view that I had been looking forward to was disappointing, it was of the wall of an adjacent building more or less, and as the apartment has huge windows which I would usually adore, it was a very big view of an adjacent wall!
On most nights, it was quiet in the surounding streets, saturday night however was very noisy. I felt very secure within the apartments though. The location is great for accessing the shops and the Wee Curry Shop, a few minutes walk away was fantastic.
Overall, a good stay, if the view had been better, I could have forgiven the meager cutlery/tableware allowance.

Sep 9, 2008 | Trip type: Family

We rented an apartment for a special family event and the booking process was great. The person we dealt with on the phone was very helpful and communicated all the information we required clearly.

The building itself if very deceptive and we actually drove straight passed it the first time because it’s not much to look at from the outside. It’s an old 1960’s / 70’s office block and previously the home of a cigarette manufacturer. It’s situated just of Sauchiehall Street, one of the main shopping thoroughfares in Glasgow.

Inside, the building has been renovated to a high standard and we were taken to our room by the receptionist who explained how everything worked.

The apartment we had didn’t give us the view you see in the website pictures, we were just above a flat, felt covered roof and looked on to a backstreet which was close to a nightclub and frequented by late night revellers and boy racers. I was surprised that the floor to ceiling windows offered virtually no ability to block out sound – we were able to hear the conversations of the people on the street below! Needless to say, if you’re expecting a good night’s sleep, this is not the place for you.

We also encountered a problem with the water in the apartment where the hot water system appeared to lose all pressure after running the tap for more than a minute. This was a big problem when everyone was trying to get a shower in the morning! The guard at reception knew what the problem was and was able to fix it very quickly but, over the weekend, the same thing happened several times.

We paid extra for the underground parking and if you’re taking a car, I’d recommend you do this too.

These are nice apartments, situated in the centre of the city. However, based on my experience, they are starting to show wear and tear now and noise levels generated from the street will put off young families.

Ohh It was a suprise to ckeck-in to the Hotel. It was my birthday and my girlfriend booked the hotel but she didnt tell me that we will stay there. She just told me that one of her friend staying there and she invite us for a cup of coffee. Receptionist lady was soo nice and took us to the room which is on the 13th floor and she opened the door and said 'Happy birthday' and i realise what is going on. It was a nice suprise as much as the hotel. Ohh great view!! It was the best hotel and apartment i ever stay in. I stayed in some 5stars hotel but l can easily say Glasgow Loft is better than all of them.
I want to say thanks to my girlfriend for this fantastic accomodation.
Hope will come again.

stayed at glasgow loft mid week, was everything we expected. few minutes walk from city centre, and train station. concierge very friendly. we stayed on the 9th floor and had amazing views of the city, the weather was kind to us so was very warm & sunny on arrival. the only downside was that the apartment was very hot, but they did provide us with a couple of fans. apartment had everything you needed, we decided to dine in that evening & enjoy the views. glasgow is a beatiful city only wish we had more time to explore, will definately stay here again.
