“Very good!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

No issues here overall... typical Premier Inn so very good overall. Only slight issue was I didn't think the hot water pressure was that good. Oh, and remember the switch the radiator off if you don't like a hot room in the night.

Restaurant next door was very good (Table Table), with excellent Guinness and BBQ ribs! Service in the restaurant was excellent.

Stayed here once before on business as a late booking and wanted somewhere close to the venue so booked again as it was great value for 2 nights. We were literally 5 minutes drive from the velodrome which was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival and departure and the rooms were clean. Used the WiFi which was quick and no road noise despite how close we were.Dead batteries in the remote for the TV but no disaster.

Breakfast as always was good, lots of choice and a quick service, they were very busy on the Sunday but still managed a smile and I got my order quickly.

Dinner was the only negative of the stay, we used the Table Table next door to the hotel (where the great breakfast was served) having eaten in them before. We were surprised that the menu was different with far fewer healthy options and things with veg attached. Having eaten in a Table Table only a few weeks before we checked if the menu was new but it wasn't. Can it be that they have a different menu for Glasgow than Newcastle?? It seems so and not stereotytping much - poor form.

We were sceptical due to the location of the motorway but heard no noise at all, we had our 1 year old grandson with us and were extremely pleased with the service offered. Our only complaint was that the room was a little cool and we were unable to alter the setting.

stayed here 3 nights while visiting family in glasgow for the weekend of the 2nd -5th november 2012...
this is a very pleasent and friendlyhotel the rooms were spotless and the beds were comfortable enough
the staff are very nice and helpful and the adjoining resturant and bar are very good value for money
there is plenty to eat at breakfast and the lunches are priced quiet reasonable
the only negative of the hotel is the heating system it did not function prperly which resulted in our sleep being interupted the three nights with the cold .... the heating system needs to be seriously looked at in the hotel as it only comes on for 3-5 minutes switches off it does not heat the room properly

We could almost touch the motorway to Glasgow but because of the triple glazing we heard no noise from it. Rooms, as you would expect, were clean and tidy but the heating system in the hotel as a whole did not function properly and left rooms unbearably hot. Reception suggested we use the plug in fan which was provided but this failed to cool the room. Finished up leaving window open and listening to motorway traffic all night. Food in the adjoining restaurant was OK but nothing special. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Going into Glasgow? forget the car take a short taxi ride (£6) to Argyll Street and follow the crowds heading for the shops.

Room Tip: If the heating system is repaired I would guess all rooms are quiet (triple glazed)

Just off the motorway and a well laid out car park. Friendly helpful check in. If you are fed up with the normal PI adjoining restaurants then this is great as you have KFC and McDonald's next door. In the morning I got a late check out Gratis! Yes, how nice was that, lovely staff. My only tiny gripe was steam TVs but they did show all the main Freeview channels but please get into the new millennium and fit bigger flat screens

Stayed here on business during the week, staff were great, very friendly and helpfull both at the hotel and in the restaurant, the food was very good as well along with excellent service.
I was concerned that there would be a lot of traffic noise from the motorway but it was fine and I slept very well.

Room Tip: If you are concerned about traffic noise ask for a room at the front overlooking the car park.
