We stayed at the Artto Hotel for one night, but the room was very noisy (window would not close properly but we didn't realise until the morning) and the noise from the street outside kept us awake most of the night. First thing in the morning, we were awakened by a pneumatic drill outside on Hope Street. We didn't fancy breakfast in an Indian Restaurant (attached to the hotel), so checked out and ate elsewhere. The hotel information folder in the room was empty, and there were no toiletries in the bathroom (with the exception of a small bar of soap). When we told the receptionist about the things we were not happy about, she did not seem very interested. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed at the artto hotel on the 24th November for a friends bday. When i first walked into the room i thought it was really nice and modern, flat screen tele nice bed covers etc. Only problems with the room was the towels reaked of bleach or something and the door frame was hanging off. My friends room was worse it was really dirty ! the carpet had stuff spilled all over it and the curtains were dirty and there was dirty marks all over the walls !! BASICALLY THEY NEED DECENT CLEANERS. FOR A ONE NIGHT STAY I SUPPOSE IT WAS GOOD ENOUGH BUT CANT SAY I'LL B RETURNING IN A Hurry!

Room door frame moved with the door. Carpets stained, wash basin cracked, and tap disintegrating. A bit on the tawdry side but basically clean for the one night I stayed. Couldn't have taken my wife though - she'd have walked out.
Breakfast, in the adjoining Indian Restaurant, was a weird concoction of stale croissants, muffins and Danish pastries, and some plastic ham, washed down with a decent coffee, but the follow up cup was instant stuff. The breakfast room was freezing.
Won't be back, I'm afraid.

After a LONG day of travel, I stayed at the Artto since it was so close to the Train Station. Clean, new, bright and comfortable. AN excelent experience.

My only problem was that the next morning, I had to get to the Queen Street Station by 5:30AM and the directions they gae me were not accurate which almost caused me to miss my train. But that's partialy my bad.

But overall, a great traveller hotel.
