I stay in Glasgow frequently for business and think I have stayed in pretty much every city centre hotel. This is the first time I'd stayed at Artto and it certainly wouldn't be on the top of my list for a return visit to the city. The hotel is in a great location - right opposite Central Station - but for me, this was on one its downfalls. My room was on the 2nd floor, looking on to the Rail Station's taxi rank. The room had secondary glazing (not double) and the noise from outside; traffic, taxis, people shouting and road cleaners kept me awake. I stayed a Tuesday night so can't imagine what it must be like at the weekends with all the nearby bars and clubs spilling out onto the street below. Surely if in a hotel is in such a central location it must have double glazing?! The room itself was small and clean - though my cups were dirty and chipped. Breakfast is continental and okay. Hotel is next to an Indian Restaurant (where breakfast is served) and the floor I was staying on stank of curry. Staff were pleasant and helpful . For £89 per night, I think there are better deals to be had in Glasgow.

Was looking for a nice quality hotel near to Central Station for a reasonable price and that's eactly what I found at the Artto Hotel.

Rooms look recently renovated and are decorated in a modern style. My room had a super king size bed, flat panel tv on the wall, clean and functional bathroom, with free wireless internet.

The hotel is bang next to the station - i left my room at 6:00pm and was on the 6:05pm train - its that easy. Although my room was a little noisy (it is bang in the city centre after all) I could not detect any of the curry smell referred to by others on this site.

Next time i stay in Glasgow itll be at the Artto - no hesitation.

Good value for money if booked the net.The staff at the front desk were accomodating to needs of quiet room. The breakfast is very basic e.g. cold bread, and all the the stuff for breakfast that you have at home, average coffee, but, great location and clean and newly refurbished rooms, great plus point.lovely porn channel too...all for free

I stayed twice in one month and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated and the location (opposite Central Station) was perfect.
