“Olympic Flame”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

Went to the concert in George Square with Emelie Sandi when the Olympic flame arrived and was lit in the Square. Fabulous night. Also a great place to visit at any time of the year - Xmas too when all the fairy lights are on.

“Rather glum”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

A bit of an embarrassing centre to such a big city. Doesn't really know what it wants to be. Odd red tarmac, badly thought out seating and tiny bits of green space. Seems that too much thought has been given to the temporary events that come in and out of the square rather than what's there all year round.

Glasgow's Christmas Lights takes place in George Square.

This cherished event is the perfect start to your family's festive celebrations and will feature live entertainment and music leading up to the switch-on of the lights at 7 pm and followed by a spectacular fireworks display.

“in the square”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

I rather disagree with some of the other reviews , there is quite a few events on through out the year in george square , also the city chambers and other buildings are nicely lit-up , always a lot of tourists in this area.

“George Square”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

To be honest it's not really a square is it?
Not really a lot you can say about it, probably a good place for tourists to check out and take some pictures. If the weathers nice it helps.
