“Great location, great staff.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013 via mobile

Perfect location for a weekend of shopping and eating. Bar not too overpriced and you can't fault the friendliness of the bar and reception staff. In the bathroom both me and my husband almost slipped in shower - could use better non slip flooring. Very stringent with how many tea bags you get but if you ask at reception they give you more. Ideal for a break away.

Good location for Glasgow city centre and rail network. Very clean, very good service and good spacious rooms. Would definitely recommend this hotel to travellers to Glasgow and would not hesitate staying here again myself.

only an overnight stay after going to the football at Hampden park , again well located and near the city centre. Clean and tidy ,check in easy . room clean and comfortable . First floor a little noise from traffic but this is a busy city so to be expected . Hotel quiet though even with a lot of scottish and welsh football fans staying, so a relatively goodnights sleep had by all .Staff friendly and helpful . Overall another good stay at a great price no complaints.

I stayed at this hotel for a night whilst in Scotland on business. It is very well placed on a corner of George Square, a couple of minutes away from Queen St station and the bus-stop for the airport bus, with Strathclyde University to one side and Glasgow's old city centre, with many bars and restaurants to the other.

The reception and bar staff were very friendly and helpful, as were the staff in the breakfast room. The room was warm and comfortable, with a relaxing view over some gardens.

reading this you might think i have a speech problem but brilliant is the word for this. i have stayed with my family 100s of times in glasgow but for some reason i have never been to george square end. first the hotel has cash like machine you check in how good is that? also 2 people to help in reception very helpful. next the rooms are spotless the shower is a delight the price was 19 pound for the 4 off us and a newborn and a very kind member of staff put up a travel cot for our wee 7 month girl. its was not problem to him very pleasent and made sure it was safe. the only thing that i can moan about is i never had time to eat there superb looking food. please book here i have no connection to this hotel but i really think they deserve rewards for there great service. 19 pounds mcdonalds cost us nearly that to eat. bargain of the year. george sqaure is a gem of a place 2 min walk to all places in glasgow its like it was planted right bang in the middle of every place you want to go. primark 2 mins away mcdonalds a min away bus station 5 min walk weatherspoons pub 3 mins away all major shops 5 min walk. and can i also say the tube is 2 mins away and train station but i would like to mention the council staff in glasgow are what i would say are maybe the best in britain. i seen them sweep non stop george square theres no mess no dog mess nothing they should hold there head high as sometimes in life people think sweeping a roads a dead end job but there is people like myself who think they are great and great for the city of glasgow as i have seen a saturday night after clubbers make a mess but the council staff have it all cleaned up before you even wake. please remember that when you see a man with abrush walk miles all day he is keeping that great city clean for people to come back again well done glasgow even a time when theres no money and shops closing they make sure it does not look messy. i cant wait to go back to this hotel as my bus was 2 mins up the hill i hope you read this premier inn well done and i am looking for a 19 pound room again thats worth 5 times that. BRILLIANT

Room Tip: they dont need tips all rooms are good but if theres a problem you can fix it by asking the staff an...

Was in Glasgow to see Wilko Johnson farewell tour. Hotel staff were great very friendly service. Good large room (which was a wee bit cold) otherwise excellent. Had a good steak down at the bar. Vending machines handy.
