“Clean, Cheap and Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

I have stayed at this Premier Inn on numerous occasions and the only things I can complain about is the food.

I happened to buy a pizza one evening, (this was possibly a year ago now) which looked and tasted terrible. Since then, I have always went else where for food as the hotel is in a great location minutes away from take aways and other shops.

The beds are fine, better than normal hotel beds but nothing to write home about and the cleanliness is always perfect.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants somewhere close to the center of Glasgow.

Room Tip: Don't buy the food from the hotel, go else where.

This is the fourth time I've stayed in this hotel although the last time was about five years ago. Staff very friendly and welcoming but i do have a few negative observations - first impressions at check in was that the hotel reception needs a wash and brush up. We had booked two rooms and these were on the fourth floor. I thought the bed seemed quite small for two people, the carpet was roughed up by the window, coming away from the wall. I found 50p on the floor and it obviously hasn't been hoovered for some time in this area. Two of our hand towels were threadbare and thin. Having said all this there were lots of positives - the sleep quality was excellent and on our return from our night out we had a nightcap in the very pleasant bar area. Breakfast was lovely, it was buffet style and as it was a Sunday, it was served til 1130, we attended at 1030 and there was still a good array of hot food (the mushrooms were to die for) in addition there was plenty of choice of cereals fruit, breads and croissants. You can also ask for extra's to bee cooked such as poached or boiled eggs. All in all a positive stay and with the location being central to all shopping and sight seeing, the niggles are worth putting up with.

Usuall good standard premier inn with an ideal location for shopping , pubs , clubs & sight seeing. This premier inn has its own restaurant which we used. We opted for a "meal deal " which was great value . 3 courses with good choice inc steak , a drink " beer , wine or soft drink" & a voucher for buffet breackfast all for £22.99 per person. There is some refurbishment work going on at the moment "feb"which we were'nt told of but over all a good stay in city centre location. Would happily return !!

We have stayed at this in for several years now. Most visits to glasgow. Have tried other places but always come back. great value, especially if you book ahead.Staff are very pleasant and helpful. And on the side of town we like for the Merchant City. eating in Gandolfie Cafe and Gandolfie Fish. mmmmmmmm Excellent. Also the Babbity Bowster if you like a good gastro pub.

Booked 1 night at this hotel just because it was £19 and would be in a good location for an overnight in Glasgow Centre. Ended up taking our 7 year old and she was made to feel very welcome in the hotel. Would definitely book this hotel again if the price was right.
