4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

My wife and I stayed here for one night ,it was really good value , first of all lets start with the welcome we received on our arrival , it was first class , made us feel very welcome the room was really nice large with nice bathroom, we booked dinner and breakfast ,dinner was really nice and the breakfast was very good all in all great value for your money. The staff in this hotel are brilliant I would return to this hotel again and Glasgow is just such a brilliant city its has a passion for life loved it.

Arrived at premier inn room weren't ready so we got to put our bags in hold room. Went back friendly reception staff. We were in room 225 which was facing away from roads so nice and quite. Bath really powerful filled up so quickly. Bed comfortable nice sleep.

Now onto the restaurant where to begin. We booked our table for 7.30 - 8pm went down told them we were ready. Got to 8.10 turns out they gave our table to someone else so we had to wait till 8.30 to get our table.

Sat down at table ready to order pizza then they are like no pizza on menu why didn't they tell us straight away? Didn't get our starters till 9pm. Main meals came through about 9.40 food burnt, some meals cold, wrong orders ie steaks not cooked way we asked, didn't offer us sauces when asked they never appeared.

We complained and they advised short staffed as chef walked out earlier that day and offered us free drinks which took 30 mins to arrive. Complained once again about or meals and we only paid for 2 out of the 9.

Would never eat there again one member of our group never even ate as her order was wrong and they didn't want to wait ages for new meal.

So I would advise eat out if staying at this hotel.

Would stay here again but would give the restaurant a wide berth.

Room Tip: Make sure you choose a room away from the traffic, as a couple I know complained about the noise out...

Stayed at this Premier inn a few times. It never disappoints. Staff are always very welcoming. Arrived in the morning hoping to store our luggage whilst we went shopping but as our room was available we were able to check in. Superb service, quality bedrooms, excellent central location. Will book this again and again.

Stayed here 4 nights. Got a deal for £19 per night. Car park opposite at £8 per day so altogether a great deal. Location excellent for shopping, the merchant city and restaurants. Easy to drive to from the motorway also easy to get back on the motorway when leaving. Near bus routes and taxis. Ditch the car walk and see the city. Glasgow is a revelation compared to back in the day well forty years ago! Staff excellent, good service, clean, quiet on the 6th floor and we will certainly be back again for a break. A reliable premier inn. Well done

Room Tip: 6th floor is high and quiet.

We visited Glasgow on 1/2 Dec and used the Premier Inn as a base. We arrived early Sat and the receptionist placed our bags in the luggage room. We then marched into Glasgow to spend a fortune, with weary feet and empty purse, we returned to the Premier Inn, reclaimed our bags and headed to our room. Having booked a twin, we actually got a double bed and a sort of single, which although it wasnt exactly what we booked, it did the trick. We also booked the meal deal costing £22 per person, which provided full cooked AND continental breakfast, plus a 3 course meal with a drink. Fantastic Value!
If you want a unbroken sleep this is not the place to be. Because it is so central, at this time of year, it also appears to be used for the many party goers who visit Glasgow, making plenty noise both outside and inside the hotel. However this was the only low point and hardly the hotels fault.
I would use again because of the tremendous value for money and location.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on George Street. Its more quiet and away from the elevator.
