I thought it was a clean comfortable hotel and breakfast has great variety and food is delicious. Room is very clean and bed is comfortable. The heater was working but we would have preferred if you can have it a bit warmer few times.

I have stayed here twice with my mother - once in 2000, and a second time for 3 nights in Oct 2007. I have searched quite a bit for hotels in Glasgow, and this is amazing value for the money given the location.
Located only a few blocks from George Square and Queen St. Station in Glasgow, you couldn't ask for a better location. With reliably clean rooms, amazing room rates for Glasgow(we payed 61 pounds per night...), this is an easy choice when in Glasgow.
This hotel feels like any major North American hotel (if you want the cozy Scotish Inn feel, go to a small town). You get a clean, decent sized (by Scottish standards) room, with TV, coffee/tea, ensuite, etc, in a giant well-kept building with a lift, as you'd expect from any major hotel. You won't get things like fancy room decorations, mints on your bed, snacks, luxury soaps, bathrobes, etc. that you might find at a more expensive hotel. Breakfast isn't included, and is overpriced - if possible, find somewhere else nearby to eat. Greggs in George Square is a good bet if you're in a hurry.
My only slight gripe was the hotel staff that seemed to have minimal care for the guests comfort. We arrived around noon, after an overseas flight to ask if we could get into our room - the young woman on the counter didn't even bother to check if there were any rooms available, and sternly told us that check in was at 2pm, and we should come back then. At least they let us keep our bags there... I can live with this.
I give it the highest rating, because I wouldn't think twice about staying there again, and don't think it can be beat for value in Glasgow.
Had a good experience at this Premier Travel Inn -- good location, staff was friendly and helpful, parking was across the street at a discounted 7 pounds. Breakfast is a bit pricey for adults at 7.5 pounds each, but because kids are free it is quite good for our family of 4.
My single complaint is that their Internet provider is Swisscom who charges outrageous prices -- 17 pounds. Since I'm converting everything to dollars this is over $30 for 24 hours of Internet service. They do offer 30 minutes or 2 hour packages, but also at ridiculous prices and the clock starts when you first log on and continues even if you log off, so you'd better think of everything. There is no other option, such as a computer on the ground floor, or network/wifi in the lobby. My employer has I-Pass on my laptop which connects to just about any Wifi supplier except Swisscom -- based on their pricing I think I know why. Premier Travel Inn, please get a different Internet supplier!
have stayed here many times with my partner and two young children now 1 & 3.
rooms are of a good size we bought an inflatable game for the children and there was still plenty of room to move around.
would prefere to have a set of drawers in the room but there is adequate storage. although i stay all the time here i feel they would do better if they had a mini fridge in the room as when we had our youngest child staying here at a mere 8wks old we had to make her bottles up and put them in the bathroom sink (not really ideal) other than that cannot fault this hotel with one exeption after reading previous reviews re Breakfast buffet being good value for £7.50 yes this is good but if you are not a big eater its on the pricy side my partner bought a £7.50 breakfast to enable our children to eat "free" as noone would accomodate the fact that we are not breakfast eaters but obvioulsey want our children to have it.
we had an early morning alarm call with a fire alarm at 7am but as staff aware that it was a drill allowed those with young chidren to stay in the foyer but did complain that only one member of staff was to be seen outside! very apologetic.
overall love this hotel & would stay here again time and time again cebeebies helps on the tv too!!! for mum and dad alike lol
staff very good with our chidren even on the rare occasion they have girls food thrown at them..... kids will be kids.....
already booked our next trip to the premiere inn george square.
If you want somewhere cheap to stay in the centre of Glasgow then this is for you. Basic, no frills, but clean and comfortable. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that, and the place was so huge that you don't get much more than polite and efficient customer service, but what more would you expect. It was perfectly acceptable and in a great location for exploring the city.
