Description: Clydebuilt Bar & Kitchen is conveniently located at the East Entrance of the SECC. With its contemporary industrial design, laid back soundtrack and spectacular views over to The SSE Hydro from the bar area, it really is the perfect place to ‘Clock In’ and enjoy the pre and post show atmosphere. 'Walk In' Food is available in The Bar and The Kitchen is available to pre book via our website. Enjoy Clydebuilt.

“Quirky style”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

Had actually booked the Gallery Bistro which had shut down and booking transferred to this new venture ( no one had actually told us this we found out on the night ) so the evening started off on a downer. The table we were shown to was struck in a tiny corner at the front- really should not be used. We asked for another table and initially were told that everything else was booked. as we were attending the Proclaimers concert at the Hydro we really did not have a choice but to stay. However, a few minutes later the waitress came back and moved us to another more acceptable table. The food is a bit quirky- eg cola ribs etc but is nicely presented and certainly tasty. Pizza has a lovely thin crust and the Risotto just hits the mark. Would be helpful if the menu could indicate which meals were suitable for vegetarians- our waitress had to keep checking.
Overall, a nice meal out and we would happily return . Ideal if you are attending a show at any of the nearby venues.

“Great food, fast and friendly service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

No better way to prepare for a night out at a show at the Hydro or SEC. We throughly enjoyed our meal on 12th October. The service was very efficient and all the staff were very friendly. All added to a great night out .
A good choice of food . Fish, venison and Burgers were all delicious but lots to choose from to suit all. The desserts were lovely. We had the Clouttie dumpling and the Panacotta. We enjoyed the meal so much we have booked for the next 4 concerts we are going to and taking friends with us.
Starters and main served with in half an hour if you were in a hurry. All tables were fully booked so pleased we booked ahead.
The great views shown on facebook are from the bar not the restaurant. Not the place for you if you want posh dining in plush surroundings. This is the place to be for good modern design , comfortable seats , great service and good grub. The bar is next door if you just want a drink.

“First night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

We dined here on 30 September, the opening night. The food was good, the halloumi cooked to perfection and we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. It was very busy but there were plenty of staff on duty and they were doing their best to ensure no-one waited too long. All in all a good experience and one we will repeat next week when we're back at The Hydro.
