Credit is given to George Mewes as the cheese supplier. It is one thing to buy well but another to handle and serve well. A plate of Mewes' cheese was in perfect condition and a credit to both monger and restaurateur. We also enjoyed pigs cheeks, a pastrami sandwhich and a blueberry tart from a range of dishes from the eclectic menu. The coffee was also very good indeed. The service was relaxed and charming. Lunch for four with a bottle of excellent white Rioja and two glasses of red to keep the cheese company was £100 and worth every penny. Braw as they say in these parts.
