“Good .yet could do better.less Is less”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013 via mobile

Lunch for 2£ 18.60
First time in a tapas bar.food was good service very quick.the young owner is very likable.
Yet after chicken, prawns sardines potatos we were still hungry.
We usually go to a local Italian same price for lunch yet an abundance of food.
We both felt we could eat more, maybe instead of a sweet offer another tapas .
We wanted to love it , however we enjoyed it.
Yet for us less is less.
The ambience is almost there . Almost.
We like candles lit, heaters on ,toilets fully painted. Its the small things that count.
Apparently the boiler was off fair enough.
I will go back again as everyone deserves another chance.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

First time visit and it was fantastic. We live local and thought we would give it a try. There was six of us and we were not disappointed. The food was superb.I have eaten in other tapas restaurants in Glasgow but this was far better. Food was fresh ,tasty and plentiful. The staff were welcoming and informitive about the dishes.Great value also, £9.95 for any 3 tapas plus either dessert ,coffee or tea. Will definitely be back and recommend. Keep up the good work.

“Good value local tapas.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

We have been here twice now. First visit was on the "chef's first night off in 3 months", so we took that into consideration with the food. The 2nd visit, there could be no excuses - the chef was "in da house", but sadly, the food was still a wee bitty average, with some dishes noteably better than others.

I really don't want to slate the wee place. Its a very handy local restaurant, with friendly service. The prices are very reasonable, so you can hardly expect cordon bleu cuisine for the money paid. My recommendation would be is to stick to the fish or red meat tapas, which are what the chef seems to do best. Chicken dishes seem to be WAY overcooked and inedibly dry, but by contrast the lamb was lovely, as were, for example, the calamaris and black pudding options.

The early evening set menu of 3 tapas and a dessert for approx a tenner is great value. In that price, you will also get a basket of bread with an olive oil dip, a ramekin of olives, and to finish your meal, a complimentary shot glass of dessert wine and mint chocolate. Canny grumble about that!

Nice ambience, attentive staff, great central Cardonald location.....just don't order the chicken! :)

“Faultless”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

I have been to this beautiful restaurant a few times now with my husband and we love everything about it.

The staff are all very welcoming, friendly and would go out of their way to make sure you get the most from your visit.

We have tried different tapas dishes and can't fault any of them. The flavours are perfect and everything is cooked well.

This little restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The prices are fantastic and we always leave very happy.

Good luck to manager Jamie for his restraunt in the future. See you soon.
